Rainbow Ranch Lodge

We stayed in one of the Rainbow Ranch Lodge’s "luxury rooms" which had one queen bed, a small sitting area with a sofa sleeper, and a river rock fireplace with an ample supply of firewood nearby. The bathroom had Jacuzzi jets in the tub, and wonderful amenities (shampoo, conditioner, and lotion) from Molton Brown. Our back deck overlooked the partially frozen Gallatin River and Gallatin National Forest.

Housekeeping was excellent. Everyday our room was as clean and tidy as if we had just arrived, and we loved how we were always greeted with soft classical music upon entering the room (coming from the satellite TV).

Like most people these days, we found and booked out Montana vacation online. Never having been to Montana before, and we were a little nervous until we actually got there. When arriving at Rainbow Ranch our tensions were put rest after entering the lodge. We arrived in the evening, and it could not have been a more warm or cozy welcome. Meghan greeted us with a friendly smile and checked us in to our room. However, before we could unpack our bags we had to plunge ourselves into the plush leather couches, in front of the blazing fire in the river rock fireplace in the lounge, and enjoy a glass of wine from their excellent selection of wines by the glass.

Our entire stay was very much like this. The rustic, yet elegant lodge and restaurant are complimented by the courteous staff and beautiful surroundings. The nearly frozen (it was pretty cold out while we were there) Gallatin River trickled by outside our back door and we could see mountains in every direction. We loved the Rainbow Ranch Lodge and would certainly recommend it to others looking for a charming Montana vacation.

We were looking for a cozy mountain getaway for the holidays, and the Rainbow Ranch fit Lodge the bill perfectly! There were fresh-baked cookies waiting for us in our room upon arrival as well as a river rock fireplace with real firewood and wonderful views of the Gallatin River and the adjacent wilderness area covered in a blanket of snow. The room felt like a cozy little cabin with the "lodgepole" bed, down comforter, and Western charm. The amenities were also excellent, such as the rosemary-lavender bath salts. And the lodge's staff, from the front desk to the housekeepers, were all attentive and friendly. I look forward to our next visit.

The Rainbow Ranch Lodge in Big Sky, Montana is an unbelievable getaway whether you're traveling with family, friends or significant others. Between the first-class service received when one first walks through the lodges' door to the freshly baked cookies waiting for you in your room, everything you can have to make you feel special is here. The rooms are uniquely decorated with a definite Western decor and almost all house river rock fireplaces, satellite TVs, and bathtubs with Jacuzzi jets.

By the end of May, the lodge is going to have 21 rooms with one suite thats going to have an indoor/outdoor fireplace, a living area with a king-size bed, a queen-size sofa sleeper, his and her closets, and an oversized tub. To make it even more special, the Suite, along with all other rooms, overlook the boardwalk and trout pond. Rainbow Ranch also offers two log cabins with all the amenities of a home which house around 8-10 people and are located right along the Gallatin, Big Skys' famous river. Additionally, they recently began renting two more log homes on the Gallatin, one of which is perfect for a small family and houses around 3-6 people and the other which accomodates around 6-9 people.

Not only do you have such a beautiful place to relax don't forget about what Big Sky and Montana have to offer! West Yellowstone is about a forty-five minute drive, and there is a plethora of activities both in the winter and summer so there is definitely something for everyone here. I highly recommend this place to anyone just wanting to have a relaxing vacation in the heart of the old West. In terms of prices, they vary depending on season and type of room (they offer six types) so its best to check out their website: www.rainbowranch.com. Enjoy!

Visit www.rainbowranch.com lodge for pictures - really is a beautiful place to stay - right along the Gallatin River. Has a beach volleyball court, outdoor fireplace and hot tub. Many of the rooms have two double beds separated with a door - but there are some private rooms too.
