This hotel is centrally located in the Fisherman's Wharf area. The staff is absolutely amazing. They can arrange anything for you. The concierge is quite helpful. There are plenty of restaurants and entertainment in the area. A Safeway grocery exists across the street.

Miserable Room!

I chose this hotel based on others positive reviews for location and price. We were quoted at 119.00 a night but what wasn't factored in was PARKING! $36.00 A NIGHT! And that doesn't include the $5.00 per night 'tax' ha ha! So really it was $41.00 a night parking! All in all, room was closer to $160.00 per night for a TINY 10x10 noisy room! The location of the hotel was great, only about 4 blocks up from the wharf but definately not worth the price! We had a standard queen room on the main floor, room 129 and it was NOISY! Maybe it was just the location but the walls are thin and the hallway activities were LOUD! And, one of the staff banged on the door in the early morn to fix the heater that we didn't call a problem in on. The next morning, one of the staff started to come in the room WITHOUT KNOCKING on the door to ask if him and a contractor could come in to do some measurements! Then there was the remote that only worked for the volume and the playstation control that worked the channels! And did I say the room was SMALL AND STUFFY? I hated this hotel! Maybe it was just my luck and the location of the room....but I wouldn't stay here again! Spend a bit more for a better room at a better hotel that might offer complimentary parking as a good hotel should!

Great location and value

Just returned from a 4 day stay and enjoyed every minute. Staff were pleasant and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable - although a bit small. Coffee and biscotti in the mornong and wine in the evening were nice touches. Hotel is perfect for visitors - close to Fisherman's wharf, pier 39, cable cars, and within walking distance of North Beach (Italian section) and Chinatown. There is a Dollar Rent al Car Agency in the hotel across the street for extended tours. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was quite and had great location 2 blocks from Fisherman's Wharf and 2 Blocks from the cable car. The room was very clean and the bed was confortable. We would stay here again. Avoid the weekend if you can because the rate jumped very high. They had a happy hour every evening for an hour with free wine and beer. The view from our room was not good but we didnt spend much time in the room.
