Description: The Scottsdale Summerfield Suites is one of the nicest suites I’ve stayed in. And, in my opinion, one of the best values in town. The hotel is in a prime downtown Scottsdale location; just minutes from all the hot spots. The facility is a short 15 minute drive from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Although the outside of the facility and the lobby didn’t particularly move me, the suites, the pool, and the outdoor patio area are truly exceptional.
There are both one and two bedroom suites available; and both are very spacious. During the peak season, a one bedroom suite is $189/night. During the off peak, that same suite will cost you $89/night. Add $30 to both of those rates for the two bedroom option. The two bedroom model is perfect for friends and family who want to be together but still have space of their own. The separate bedrooms have their own bathrooms, walk-in closets and TVs. Each room has a large living area with a TV and VCR, high speed internet access, and fully stocked kitchen, including mixing bowls, pots, pans, plates, utensils, dishwasher, stove, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, even salt and pepper!! The furniture and cabinets are very nice and new. And the solid surface countertops in the bathrooms are a really nice touch.
The amenities are thoughtful as well. The hotel offers a complimentary grocery shopping service, movie rental, shuttle, social hour Monday through Thursday, hot and cold breakfast buffet, and many others. I especially like the outdoor courtyard around the pool. Here you can grill lunch or dinner on one of three huge gas grills, while enjoy the cooling fans and the TV under the shelter of the gazebo.
I was really impressed by this hotel. The rooms were fantastic for a family or group event. The Summerfield Suites has to be one of the best values for the dollar in the Phoenix Metro area. The fact that it’s located in the heart of Scottsdale is just icing on the cake!
