good value has airport shuttle

We stayed here for one night to catch an early morning flight and were nervous because of the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, the bed serviceable and the hotel shuttle got us to the airport on time. The room was a little skimpy on towels (only providing two, but for a room with a single king bed they probably thought that sufficient) but for the two of us that was adequate. The room was in good repair, the air conditioner worked and we were overall pleased. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Tolerable for the price

This place is old and dirty, but the beds are ok and the sheets and towels are clean. The room was made up timely every day. Filth in the corners, obviously maintained on the cheap, probably was a nice motel 20 years ago. If you're coming to Charlotte, you will need to pay at least twice as much to get a room that's any better -- this is an expensive town. I didn't use the pool, but it was crowded most nights so others seem to think it's ok. Not too bad of a neighborhood. The staff seems to be doing their best. It is definitely cheaper to book online.

Nauseating Stench

The room in this hotel had a stench that was nauseating and the hotel staff was extremely rude. This was the first time I stayed at an Americas Best Value Inn and I will never stay at another one. The stench was so bad I purchased disinfectant air spray and even that did not help. Unfortunately for me, they were full and had no other rooms.

Not the greatest place!

Roaches, dirty beds, rude employees...

A Class

First of all, this is a MOTEL not a HOTEL. It is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed at. Walls were newly painted but the carpet was dirty and dingy. The refrigerator was dented in several places and very old and dirty looking. The bathroom floor was sticky and the stuff they sprayed the tub with to make it look new was cracking and peeling. The sink had no stopper and the vanity was made of nicely painted construction grade plywood. The towels were the cheap kind that leave lint in your hair. The beds were like sleeping on a lumpy rock with blankets that must have been army blankets in WWI. We had booked 4 nights but left after the first night. The motel refused to refund anything and I'm still waiting for Online travel to "make it right". Avoid this dump at all costs. Don't rely on the pictures provided. They are either very old (like this dump) or heavily doctored.
