Hotel is Across the Street from a Fire Station

This hotel is across the street from a very active fire station. Trucks would leave the station with the alarms blaring at all hours of the night. I stayed at this hotel for four nights and every night it was the same thing, so it was not just a one time occurrence. The hotel itself was very nice, but I would never recommend this hotel to anyone due to the fire station across the street.

Excellent stay. All rooms have been updated; granite countertop in bath; iron and board in room; nice indoor pool; staff very accommodating; walking distance to museums, capitol, upscale restaurants and train station. We had a terrific time. 6/08
Hotel location is not great!!

The hotel was tucked away in a not-so-nice part of the city. We had to park in a garage across the street. There was no valet parking. The front desk staff did not go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was nice and the bed was very comfie. We had a nice meal at the restaurant and prompt room service. Although this was probably the best of the three hotels in the downtown area, next time I will pick one farther away in a nicer neighborhood.
Renovation Needed Here

Recently stayed here on business. Facility badly in need of renovation. Poor service in restaurant. Rooms very small with tiny bathroom. Carpet threadbare and stained in many places. Filter in bathroom exhaust system has never been changed. No soundproofing and poor seal on door makes for a loud stay. Sliding glass door on false balcony does not open and was so dirty that you couldn't see through one side. STAY AWAY.
Beware

Be very careful if book at this hotel as a family. We were given a tiny room with a king bed for a family of 4 with no apology except that they guarantee a room not a type.
