I was reluctant to book with them given the consistently poor reviews listed here, but when I called and spoke the manager, she convinced me to give them a chance - we would be only be staying one night, and we were visiting friends staying in the area.
We were pleasantly surprised with our experience. Yes, this is not a new hotel. Yes the bathrooms are smaller than what are offered in newer (much higher priced) hotels. And yes, the carpet is tired in the room we stayed in. But the room we stayed in was recently painted , the room was clean, comfortable, and had a kitchenette and a safe.
The pool is large, and the area by the pool is well maintained. The proximity to the beach is at least as good as any in the area that are not "on the beach". The new beach walk is a nice feature, and the beach is right across the street. They are very close to the pier, and the docks where there are boat rides and fishing charters available. There are also many restaurants in walking distance.
They are on a mission to upgrade the facilities - clearly there are some rooms that are upgraded, and some that are not yet finished - I got an indication they book the newly renovated rooms first, and have taken some rooms not up to standards out of service until they have finished renovations.
The staff here is very helpful, and friendly.
I intend to stay here again, I think they provide a good value in the area.

This inn isn't for anyone that is use to going to nice hotels. We thought we would go with it because of the price, what a bad choice. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are even smaller. The carpet is worn and dirty, scratchy blankets. The face cloths are very thin and towels are small. No dvd or vcr, only a few cable channels. Very noisy and the fire alarm kept going off. The only thing we can say good about this place is the pool is heated and clean. Also the inn is located right across from the beach!!!

Overall, this hotel was not bad for the price. We had great access to the beach and the pool was clean. Wish they would update the rooms and building, needs paint. Also, would have liked continental breakfast.

Hotel was very overpriced. It offered no ammeneties such as a restaurant, tiki bar, or indoor bar. Not even a small bottle of shampoo in the rooms. The outside stairway was badly stained with rust and it appeared that very little money has been spent on improving the basic appearance of the hotel itself, as well as the grounds. We had to replace our key cards 3 times because they stopped working. This has never happened to me before. You would expect better accomodations for $*per night.

Location is next to beach and nightlife - you can walk to everything. Rooms are tired and worn out. We asked for a room on the first floor and were located under the steps by a service door and pool. Room was dark with worn out comforters and rug. There was a mini fridge but no shampoo or hairdryer. Pool was nice tho we did not use it. Staff was wonderful both at check in and out. Night time staff did locate a hair dryer for us to use.
