Nice staff! We had to get a siingle the first night because we hesitated on making our reservations. The next day when a double became available the staff moved our luggage to the new room. We did not have to miss any beach time! Both rooms were clean. Take house shoes the floors are tiled. We will stay again.
Our stay was in June 2009.

Nasty room we have ever stayed at .You would do better sleeping on the beach and using the baths rooms there I know for a fact they had just as much sand on the floor as we did in our room , we left our shoes on thats how nasty this hotel is and forget about the free breakfast thats a whole other story im telling you it would be better to get a tent and sleep on the beach

I lived on SPI for 7 years, so trust me when I say I have been in the worst of the worst hotels on this Island. I came down in July of 2008 with some friends and stayed at the Super 8. I was so happy to find that the rooms were very clean and modern and the price was very reasonable. The location is also great it's a 5 minute walk to the beach and you can go outside your hotel and wave down the WAVE (free shuttle service up and down the Island). I would definitley stay there again!

Everything was good for a value priced hotel. The security lock tab on door was broken and the breakfast included was very limited. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable, desk staff pleasant and efficient. Convenient dining nearby. Would certainly stay there again if returning to South Padre Island.
