Best Things Nearby:
Everything!! This resort is within walking distance (or a trolley ride) to anything you could ever want.

Best Things About the Resort:
Right on the beach, with a nice, clean pool. Plenty of space for relaxing. Helpful staff.

Resort Experience:
This resort is on the "small" end of Estero Island. There is very little traffic and noise. But it is also close enough to Time Square, where a lot of shopping and restaurants are. A nice stroll down the beach, and you are at the pier, ready to shop, eat, or just hang out and wait for the dolphins to swim by. If you'd rather stay at the resort, the hot tub is a nice, relaxing place to hang out. And the outdoor grills and patio area make the perfect place to eat your dinner while watching the sun set. The staff organizes several events, including a pancake breakfast and a hot dog cookout lunch. There is fresh-brewed coffee available every morning to anyone who wants to wander down and get a cup. Reading the morning paper while watching the sun make its way into the sky is the perfect way to start the day.

Best Things Nearby:
Easy access to great restaurants, shopping, and the wonderful atmosphere of Fort Myers Beach. Great bike riding and also close to Sanibal/Captiva Islands.

Best Things About the Resort:
The ultimate in beachfront location!! Magnificent wide sand and a very gradual slope, so swimming and floating in the ocean are safe and secure. The staff works very hard also to make this a great family destination with repeat visitors again and again. Nice on-site tennis, shuffleboard, ping-pong, and bikes. Also, the pool is away from the road and very private on the "beach" side of the property. A new spa was installed in the last year and a very nice upgrade from the previous one. If you like beach life and sunsets second to none, this is the place. We've visited over a dozen Caribbean islands and Hawaii, and the sunsets looking over Sanibel are the very best!

Resort Experience:
This property is well established and has a great family atmosphere. Its owners take pride in the property and seek to make all guests very welcome. The social activities offered (i.e., Monday night snacks, Wednesday morning pancake breakfast, Thursday noon ice-cream social, and Friday noon hot-dog cookout) are all $1 or $2 and run by volunteers, with a great time had by all. Participate if you want...or when you want. The pool and spa are peaceful and well kept up. The staff is great, with all requests being handled efficiently and professionally. Covered parking is a plus, with good lighting to make you feel safe. Maintenance is never an issue...great air-conditioning units and the very best views of the beach from your screened lanai. Again, if you like a good, safe sand beach but don't want to be stuck at a resort out in the middle of nowhere, this is the place. On the "quiet" north end of Estero Island is just enough activity, with good access by foot or bike to two city parks. Also a trolley stop (low price with long hours) right in front of the resort. Residential condos on both sides of the property, so not too congested with other hotels or timeshare units. Also, nice grills and convenient to Publix or Albertson's grocery stores. Again, for us, a home away from home. This year again, we have purchased more weeks as an owner due to our high level of satisfaction...now up to 5 weeks of ownership!!

Getting around the area is very easy and best done by car, but as stated above, walking, bikes, and trolley are available. Nightlife several blocks away in the Times Square district is fun near the large city pier. Again, the trolley is a good option if you decide not to walk or drive.

A must-visit is the new Snug Harbor restaurant several blocks away with a great view of the back bay and superb food and service. The Gulfshore Grill offers really nice breakfasts just down the beach...a good morning bike ride with a bike rack to lock your bike onto while enjoying a tasty breakfast.

Enjoy yourself and give Windward Passage a try. Safe, clean, well located, and again, the nicest beach anywhere!!!

Resort Experience:
This is a nice place that's clean and easier to get into than Sanibel and Captiva Island. There's plenty to keep you busy, and it's very close to the main area of Fort Myers beach, but far enough away not to be overrun with people.

Lots of restaurants.

Best Things About the Resort:
Not much.

Resort Experience:
Rooms are kind of small, very outdated, needs a lot of work to modernize. Pool and overall resort kept pretty clean, just a very old looking place . . .

Beach, Beach, and more Beach! It's in a great location at the "quiet" end of Estero Island (Fort Myers Beach). Walk to park at the end of the island. Fishing charters are nearby. Bike riding is outstanding. Visit the Ft. Myers pier -- watch for dolphins. Edison/Ford sites are worth the visit. There is good shopping at Tanger Outlet Mall on the way to Sanibel Island.

Best Things About the Resort:
Location and view. The sunsets are out of this world. There are nice lanais on beachfront units, a great staff, a pool away from the street on the beach side of the building, covered parking (some), bikes, and tennis courts on site.

Resort Experience:
You can be as busy as you want or as lazy as you want. Ft. Myers Beach and nearby Sanibal/Captiva offer something for everyone. Units at Windward Passage have all you can need. You never need to leave once you have your grocery shopping done, or come and go since there's many historical, sporting, shopping, and dining options close-by. If you love the beach, this is the place for you. Also owner's activities are available: 1st night potluck/social hour, mid-week pancake breakfast, and end-of-the week hot dog cookout. A nice way to get involved and make new friends. Great atmosphere! Great location! Great views!
