Basic business hotel

I stayed at this hotel one night on business. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and as shown in pictures. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from a major grocery store, and near many restaurants. The elevator seemed in need of maintenance, as it jolted and bumped a bit. The breakfast was purely "continental" -- the only hot items were those you could put in the provided toasters (including pre-made waffles). Still, it was a good, basic business hotel at a very reasonable rate. I would stay there again on business.

Only stayed here one night, but would stay here again.
Near expressway, but there was no traffic noise.
Room was clean and met all our needs during our stay.
Near many places to eat.
Hotel was tucked in an industrial area, but we found it.
Wasn't the best hotel I've stayed at

In town for my mother's funeral I was shocked to arrive to not 1, but 3 smelly (like old wet carpet) rooms they tried to put us in. By the time we got to room 3 I was so irritated I took the room to get some sleep. Then had issues with the keys not working in room 3. The first room also had a sock on the floor near the bed. The next day we moved to a fourth room with no smell. The pool area had wet towels all over the floor and a band aid on the floor that was there for 2 days. Towels weren't resupplied in the pool area during the day. The exercise room showed signs of water damage on the ceiling and had a piece of the ceiling tearing away. The best thing about this stay was the warm pool. They seemed to be understaffed and not a lot of attention was paid to simple things that would have made a difference in my judgement of their facility.

We arrived late driving in rain. The hotel had a covered reception area. That was nice. Staff where friendly and the room was clean. Our location was 10 to 15 minutes from the Birch Run outlets & Frankenmuth. Clean, comfortable, convienent & priced right. I was glad to get what I expected.
