This is my favorite place to stay. Even the one bedroom studio is really really nice. Delux everything, as I type I am reconsidering at time share here. Luxiorus bedding a must have, granite counter tops, top of the line mocha coloring with couches and modern decor, very quiet and clean spotless you must stay here.. I say this is a AAAAA + luxuary resort, near the queen mary and many of Tahoes favorites, we love the restuarant here... go for it you wont be sorry..it is a village all of its own Mrs. Deborah Viau

The staff was always courteous and helpful, especially when they found out this was our first trip to the area, offered information on places to visit and shop. The services were great, our rooms were always ready when we returned from walks and sightseeing. Room spacy and cozy, cleanliness good, housekeepers were always ready to assist us with extra pillows, blankets, towels and toiletries. The way we were treated far exceeds the value of the room. Check out was a breeze, no hitches. I would definitely stay at the Embassy Suites in Lake Tahoe, and will definitely look at other Embassy Suites abroad. Kudos to the staff at Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe.

When we arrived, we were given a room with 2 double beds even though our reservation had confirmed a king size bed. We called the front desk and explained the situation. We were told the hotel was completely booked and there was nothing they could do about it. On top of that, we were also told that, when you make your reservation through an Internet-based service , you get the "leftovers." That is the exact term used to describe their position. This was simply unacceptable. I explained that I was a Hilton Honors member and that I wanted to speak to a manager. About 5 minutes later, we were told they had located a room with a king size bed but that it was a smoking room (as was the room with the 2 double beds). We agreed to take it and then, a few mintues after that, they suddenly found a non-smoking king room. Funny, I thought the hotel was completely booked? Stand up and fight for what is right. Old fashioned customer service is a thing of the past. The more popular the destination, the less anyone seems to care anymore. I don't take crap from anyone anymore.

Nice but too crowded

Very comfortable room and very clean. Had a room refrigerator and microwave, extra sink in the bedroom, 2 TV's, one in the bedroom (regular) and one (flat screen LCD) in the living area (should have been the other way around)! Beware! There is NO self parking and the Valet is $20 per day!!! Many folks parked next door in Harrah's lot (not sure they like that!). Location is very convenient and walkable but very expensive resort feel to the place. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Conceirge was most helpful (2 different folks on 2 different days). The Guest Laundry was convenient. However, the dryer was inconvenient. It cost $1.50 for 1 hour, no more and no less. So, 90% of my clothes got dry in that time but we hung socks and a few other think waist band items around the room overnight to dry. There should be a 10 minute option for 25 cents! The breakfast was very poorly run. There was a 40 minute wait in line one morning!! For the 2nd largest Embassy Suites in the country it only had ONE line for Made to Order Omlets and ONE line for hot buffet. Cross traffic to breads and cereal was continuous! Something MUST be done. Tables were kept clean but they ran out of coffee 2 or the 3 mornings we were there as well as the chocolate syrup, though I saw at least 3 different staff pick up and set down the empty bottle and not replace it. Did no one know where the replacement was or who had the key? I'd stay here again but it might not be my first choice. I think I'd look into other smaller places first.

Stay okay but needs improvement in areas!

Staff was wonderful, rooms very spacious. Quiet. Lines WAY way too long for breakfast with little choices in cereal. No adult cereal unless you like nuts in yours or Fruit Loops, watered down juices. Cocktail hour nice but again lines way too long. Elevators great, never had to wait long. Pool area small and too much chlorine, outside balcony off pool in need of great help. Valet parking a jrip off! * per day, just park in the lot next door - we did with no problems. Would stay again - but an outside pool would have made things more enjoyable. Felt very safe walking home at night from casino next door.
