Very good place to call home base

We go every year just before Thanksgiving. The rooms are nice and clean.The pool and Tiki bar are great (although the bar isnt usualy open durring the week).Eveything is walking distance,resturaunts,casino..The golfing is great and not crowded...actually not crowded at all,My wife and I "played" on the 16th fairway. We really enjoy the resort and the people are awesome!
Peaceful in freeport

If getting away from it all is what you're looking for this is the place to be. A small, quiet, peacefull, tranquil piece of paradise., my wife and I loved every minute. The resort is in Freeport . The resort itself is aging but is well maintained and very clean. A very friendly staff is eager to please. A heated pool sits between the six small buildings making up the resort. Two heated hot tubs as well. The resort is situated between two golf courses. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday I recommend Freeport Resort and Club.

We rented a car from Avis at the Airport and used it everyday for touring the island and getting from place to place. Highlights were glass-bottom kayaking at Paradise Cove, Snorkeling with "Pat & Diane" out of Lucaya and visiting with native owner of beachfront acreage in McLean Town on the East end. Shopping at the straw markets was a challenge, and bargaining was a learning experience. Also, hair braiding should be bargained for, as well. Inn at International Bazaar was well worth the cost. And the Casino there was clean and there were winners here and there.
