Clean, Comfortable, Friendly -- but some of the food...

This is not a new hotel by any stretch; still it is clean and well-cared for. Room was nicely-furnished, but not what I would call elegant. All we needed was available, the bed was comfortable, and 4th floor was quiet. Every person on staff with whom we interacted, from front desk to housekeeping, was friendly and helpful without making themselves pushy.
We ate only one meal at the so-called "Chef's Table." It was lunch, and it was very disappointing. Italian was the only salad dressing, rolls were hard, and the chicken was only average. The beef appeared to be brisket, moderately-thin slices about two inches long, covered with a bland, lumpy gravy. That might have been tolerable, except the meat was so tough one could not hope to chew it. Someone needs to teach "Chef" how to make brisket tender and tasty, and you can't make it that way by just throwing it in a pan and covering it with gravy. At $14 bucks a plate, it had better be a lot more palatable than that.
The continental breakfasts for our three-day event at the ballrooms, however, were outstanding, with fruit, yogurt, granola, pastries and bagels, breakfast burritos one day and ham/egg/cheese croissants the next. Good at feeding groups at a venue, but not individuals at the restaurant, it seems.
