We love the location in that you could easily walk to lots of things in downtown Portland area. But our hallway smelled like a nursing home. I had to hold my breath until we got in the room. I felt the bed was fine but my wife hated it. Hard edge ...Read more

This hotel is old. Tthe room was small, but comfortable. Good value for the price, I guess. Another time, I stayed at the Governor, located nearby. Much nicer.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It was exactly what we needed: very comfy bed, efficient kitchenette; the staff was very helpful. They understood our need to check in early and accomodated us which we really appreciated. Very homey atmosphere.

Customer service and hotel amenities were nice. We arrived too early to check in but they were nice enough to store our luggage in a secure room. The location is great, close to the streetcar, Powells Books, Celler Wine. At night we felt safe to ...Read more

This hotel gave me the creeps upon first walking into the front lobby which gave off a stale, dank "dirty vaccum bag" smell. It didn't get any better when the nightdesk person ignored us for enough time to make us feel unwelcome. We had paid extra ...Read more
