Both times I've gone to Reno to drop/pick-up my daughter at the university. This is a fine place to stay for that purpose. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the showers work well, there are plenty of towels etc. We've eaten both times at the seafood restaurant which I can highly recommend. I like having the room card check before going up to my tower room, though it is a cursory glance. My only objection is the $3/day resort fee which covers the spa, pool and other services in the hotel which I don't use. When I have had an occassion to use the valet, I tip them directly. I'd rather they add the fee directly to the price of the room instead of giving the feeling of being "nickeled and dimed.'

The hotel has good rooms. Still needs improvement on disability access.
Friendly staff but tacky fee at checkout

Clean, comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and helpful even when I asked stupid questions (according to my wife all my questions are stupid). Good location for WAC basketball tournament and easy freeway on and off access. Gives you inside connections to the Eldorado and Circus Circus. At checkout was charged a $3.00/day spa/resort fee which was annoying. Why didn?t they include it in the price or say something at check in?

The Hotel room was very clean. Although they could use a little more amenities in the rooms. But ask for a room facing the front. The food at several restaurants were quite good and the staff was very helpful.
My grandma's house

OK so the Silver Legacy is really two different stories. First is the common areas. The restaraunts and clubs are cool and the mining dome is really something you have to see. The second story are the rooms. First they are decorated like my grandmother's house in "Victorian" style. Secondly, I swear they haven't been touched in the 13 years they have been open. So in short, best common area in Reno for dining and clubs, worst casino hotel rooms in Reno (although I have never stayed at Cel Neva).
