Sedona Summit # 4038

Best Things Nearby:
Sunsets reflecting off of the Red Rocks, Grand Canyon, and various national parks.

Best Things About the Resort:
I liked the floor plan of the one-bedroom timeshare unit.

Resort Experience:
In May of 2003, we took a trip to Sedona AZ, Red Rock Country. Make sure to bring your camera because the scenery is breathtaking and sunsets are spectacular against the red rock background. It is a small city with all buildings decorated in canyon colors, and lots of boutique shopping malls. We spent many days hiking the Cathedral and Bell Rock areas. And we watched the sunset every night. Other great places near by are Tuzigoot National Monument, Montezuma's Castle, the Verde canyon Railroad, and the City of Jerome. And a few hours north is the spectacular Grand Canyon. Few hours south is Phoenix.

We stayed at the Sedona Summit, an RCI timeshare. It was located on the south side of the city and was a huge complex. The rooms were very nice. We stayed in a one bedroom with a front room, dining area, small kitchen, nice size bedroom, and a huge bathroom with a Jacuzzi. There were basically no special features at the resort except you could rent a limited supply of videos. There weren't any resort activities (like parties or aerobics, etc.) and the pools were very moderate, but nothing special. I did not like the fact that the view from my patio door was the parking lot and two feet from my patio chair was my car. But then again, we did not spend much time in the resort. Best Things Nearby:
There are so many things nearby that I cannot list them here. Do a search on google for Sedona. Try a jeep ride, try Mexican food, go to Gerome, etc.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very nice inside. Well taken care of, relaxing, well equipped. Nice fireplace and a great Jacuzzi tub.

Resort Experience:
Our stay at this timeshare made my investment worth it. I would highly recommend you stay in Sedona, and if possible, try to get this timeshare. You won't be disappointed.

Best Things Nearby:
Grand Canyon 100 miles -- Sedona area -- Slide Rock State Park -- Jeep Tours.

Best Things About the Resort:
Resort is deserving of its Gold Crown status. Rooms are well decorated and in good condition.

Resort Experience:
The resort consists of approximately 20 buildings containing four two-bedroom lock-out units each. All units appear to be identical in design. An adults-only pool is located in the center of one group while a family pool is located on the other side of the resort. Resort has a small game room and child activity center located near the family pool. There is a laundromat at the resort, as well as washer/dryer units located in all one- and two-bedroom units. I found the Sedona Summit to provide an excellent vacation expereince.

Best Things Nearby:
Choice of three excellent golf courses. Two hours from the Grand Canyon. Two hours from Phoenix. Take in the helicopter rides over the canyon!

Best Things About the Resort:
Comfort and service. Central location to other cities and sights.

Resort Experience:
We stayed in a two-bedroom unit on the second floor. The unit is clean and very comfortable with a huge bath.

An art exhibition of local artists was made available in the lobby during our second week. This opportunity made our stay even more memorable. Just a great place to stay.

Best Things Nearby:
Close to various hiking trails and park. Car is needed to get around as Sedona is spread out. Sedona Summit is at the far edge.

Best Things About the Resort:
Views, fireplace, balcony, nice design and well-maintained.

Resort Experience:
There were several buildings - all nicely decorated and maintained (although a couple of areas on the fringe of the resort looked a bit desolate as there were some partially constructed buildings that were not currently being worked on - they said there had been a halt but that construction would be finished in some months). We had a 2 bedroom lockoff unit which worked great - my sister & niece shared the lockoff studio (bed & sofa bed with mini kitchen - everything but a dishwasher) while my husband & I had the main 1 bedroom condo. We left the connecting door open and all of us enjoyed the kitchen (excellently equipped) with a breakfast bar, living room with a fireplace, dining room, and balcony with wonderful views of the red rock bluffs. (The lockoff's balcony looked over the resort's greenbelt.)

Since there were several different hot tubs located throughout the resort, each building was near a hot tub. The pool was at the main lobby building (also the weight & game rooms and large gathering area). The main building also hosted several different activities such as the welcome breakfast and an Indian jewelry display/sale night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the concierge always willing to help with suggestions and/or reservations.
