We revisited Sedona this year to enjoy the breath taking views of the red rocks. While our efficiency was good for a short term stay, we were greatly disappointed in that our view was of the parking lot.

My review is based on the fact that they are calling this place a resort. There are little to know resort facilities. This looks like an apartment building that they rent/sell rooms. Nothing special! There is a pool. We were not told, nor did it say anywhere, that there was no housekeeping. Even when we checked in there was no mention of this. We found out at the end of our second day when I called the front desk. They then let me know that they do not provide housekeeping unless we wanted to pay an extra fee. It is build in an amazingly beautiful place though the way it is built (apartment like) you get little to no view other then other buildings and parking lot. Our expectations were not met.
On the up side. We did tour the new rooms and they looked really great. The old room that we stayed in was not great but they said that all the rooms would be renovated by next year. The front desk people that we spoke with were all nice and helpful. Since we have kids, it was nice to have a kitchen. If you want a place to stay and take care of yourself, then this is not a bad place to do it. If we had known what to expect and accepted it, I would have given them an exceptional review. Overall stay was fine.

The location and architecture of this time sahre community is just amazing, it is one of the most beutiful places I've been to. So why such a poor review? To start when you get to the resort the first thing you see is the sales office and it is the place where every one I asked stopped thinking it was the reception which it is a way down. When we got to the reception building there was a line of 4 new guests and only one person manning the desk, big contrast with the concierge/sales desk on the other side of the lobby that had 5 people waiting for you. After a 30-45 minute wait it was finally my turn and the person was talking so fast that it was difficult to get the details on where the room was located and where the pools where but he slow down to let me know that I should walk across the hallway to the concierge to get some "freebes". No wait there! even though we were very tired from a full day of driving and sight seeing they had to book our tours on the spot, We finally got to the room only one bed (we are 4) the other was a very uncomfortable sleeper sofa for which they had no linens in the room. 1Hr. wait for linens. next day after a full day of hicking we found out they only clean rooms every four days "this is a time share not a full service hotel" no toilette paper in the bathroom 1+hrs wait for toilette paper and fresh towels and soap. In short if you are looking for a time share this is beutiful if you want a hotel there are many in town. cheaper and as pretty.
You have to give serious thought before booking here!

On the plus side, the room appears nice, a condo feel to it, but be prepared to deal with lousy service.
Upon checking in, they had lost my reservation and I'm sure if I didnt' have my confirmation letter in hand we would have been turned away ( they did so to someone in front of us). We ultimately got checked in and drove to our 'apartment' and then proceed to have to lug all our luggage up 3 flights of stairs ( no elevators). They woudn't make up the beds so we had to...3 very important words here.. NO FITTED SHEETS!!?? Every try sleeping on flat sheets tucked under a mattress that is only on a platform bed? THEY DON"T STAY.
The maid's supposedly came once about 3 or 4 days into our 8 day stay and all they did was wash the bathroom sink. They took all of the towels out of the room and didn't leave us any. They didn't make any of the beds, though they did remove the sheets off of the pullout couch. We had to call and have them bring all new towels etc, and we had to remake the pullout bed ourselves.
They are very concerned with trying to sell you time shares, and really that's what they are there for. All other attempts to get any kind of service or assistance whatsoever really were like pulling teeth.
We got daily calls from the concierge to "make sure there weren't any tours they coudl help us with" which of course was followed up with an attempt to get us to sit through their time share sales pitch.
There are better places to stay, but if you want to do all the work yourself and don't mind lousy service, try it out.

This was a very nice resort. Our (1 bedroom) condo had a full kitchen and a nice view of the red rocks. It had recenlty been remodeled, the living and bed rooms both had large flat panel tv's. The resort had several pools (one adult only) and at least one outdoor cooking area. We scheduled our activities through the concierge desk. The staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay at the resort and would stay there again!
