I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. They went out of their way to make our stay great. The room was small but comfortable. The location was on the border of a good area and not so great area. It seems like the area is in the process of ...Read more

Eclectic property with a wonderful vibe throughout including it's unique lobby. Not the very best location but very little is considering SF and it's homeless population. Parking garage next door (not connected to hotel - therefor cheaper) had a ...Read more

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and quick to help me. Missed out on the wine tasting but it looked interesting. Rooms were a little small but then I was too busy enjoying the sites of San Francisco.
Albeit expensive, the hotel was conveniently located and comfy.

It is a historical hotel. Hotel lobby and ground floor halls were artistic thus beautiful. Staff were helpful. We stayed in a two queen size bed room which was large enough for a family of four. Breakfast cost per person was very high.

The room was nice and quiet, and the wine hour was really fun. The hotel is right on the edge of a sketchy neighborhood, but I felt safe, and the location was convenient to Union Square. Watch out for the bell hop swtch scam. He grabs your bags and ...Read more

The room was within walking distance to Union Square and lots of restaurants however the rooms were quite small and over priced. The hotel did offer complimentary wine tasting which was quite nice.

I stayed here on business, and loved the location. The room was a bit smaller than I would have liked--but it had all the essentials. The parking was expensive, but the parking was expensive everywhere. It was SF afterall. Also, I needed to print ...Read more

As a preface it should be pointed out that the Serrano was undergoing substantial renovations at the time of my visit (Thanksgiving 2010). In spite of the aforementioned, the opulence of the lobby coupled with the unique retro-feel of the general ...Read more
