I almost never write reviews, but I had such a nice experience at this hotel. I only stayed one night, and wish had stayed a second night. The beds were wonderful! Not hard, but really comfy. The room and grounds are wonderful and right on the lake! The pool was small, but clean. The location is GREAT, walking distance to the center of everything! Really great hotel, don't even hesitate!
not what I expected

We expected a cabin with jacuzzi, kitchen, king size bed, and view of the lake. We checked and got a room with two beds, and a small refrig. When we called the front desk about a cabin he just stated that the rooms don't have Jacuzzis or kitchens, but we can send up a microwave. When we asked to be upgraded the gentleman agreed. To our surprise this upgrade came as a king size bed, no Jacuzzi, no kitchen, no microwave, no cabin. Amazingly since the majority of the cabins were vacant). About 9pm after dinner the microwave showed up.
Do Not Stay Here

Smoke alarm missing battery. No screens on windows. No A/C. Both queen beds had twin sheets crosswise, lower 24? of bed was bare, mattress was filthy. Bathroom shower enclosure had hole plugged with toilet paper. TV would not turn on, wrong remote. Only chair was a ripped thrift store reject. Fire extinguishers missing. Continental breakfast was purple Koolaid and single small plastic wrapped Danish per person. Front desk help disappeared before breakfast so he didn't have to listen to guest complaints. This place is a favorite tale when swapping horror stories with friends.
What a rip off

I paid over $600 for three nights. We couldn't sleep for two nights because the people above us were noisy. We called to complain to the office and they were closed at 10 PM. "Lakefront" rooms have a view of the bushes. Bedspread was old and coming apart. They refused to refund us the third night when I told them I was not happy with the accomodations. They also tacked on an extra $50, which was for $15 per night times three nights for our dog. You do the math. I've never felt so ripped off in my life. I wouldn't stay there again if they paid ME the money. They didn't even have an ice machine, I had to drive up to the main office to get ice.
Very nice and resonably priced

The location of the hotel was great just a bolck or two from the maiin district and very near both snow summit and bear mountain. Its located a nice but not too far of a distance from the main road so there is a very minimum traffic noise. everytime you walk out you see the beautiful lake. The staff was very friendly the heated pool was great for the kids. Only one minor thing was that you can here the upstairs people walking around, they could have just had heavy feet who knows. On our last day we found out it is located with in walking distance to an Excellent restraunt
