Clean room, helpful staff, good location in a camp-ground resort area off the the main strip. Reasonable rates and a nice little balcony overlooking the stream. Not a five-star accomodation, but definitely a good value for a clean, comfortable, convenient stay close to just about everything. (Including Dollywood and the beautiful Gatlinburg Municipal Golf Course.)
Enjoyed my stay there.

Arrived there 9-23-08 and was pleasantly surprised. I had read all the bad reviews on here and wasn't expecting much. The place was nice, older, but nice and clean. I liked how the bathroom was between the 2 beds as it was like having 2 sm. bedrooms. Having the microwave and frig. was an added plus. One night we ate at the "Old Mill" and the portions were HUGE. We brought back food and was able to eat it again as another meal with having the microwave and frig. in our room. The balcony over the creek was an added plus. Nice to watch and feed the ducks. There was campers across the creek, but they were quiet and didn't pose a problem. I liked the covered parking, basically you park under the motel. I would park on the lowest level and would be right at the creek area. I didn't use the pool. It is located across the street as is the office. In the pic showing the pool you can see the small office in the background with the motel across the street in the background. The staff was very nice and helpful with suggestions on where to eat and things to do. I'd stay there again. The price was really good. They did have an actual key to the door and not a card. I haven't seen that in years.

Motel was very old....the photos on-line were deceiving. The pool was very basic-nothing special. Will not stay here again. Also, I did not realize at the time I made the reservations, of course, the age of the motel....I would have changed motels, but I had paid in full.
Woudn't stay again

Prices were above the advertised deals others nicer places were offering in the area when we arrived. The view from the balcony is the back of a campground. Needs remodeling. Wouldn't have stayed the entire time but were pre-charged. Learned that lesson. Going again next week. Will stay in Gatlinburg and book only one night at selected hotel. After checking the facility will book additional nights if satisfied.
Had expected the best prices/accommodations to be online (especially with full prepayment) but found that was not the case. It wasn't so bad that I wanted to call the health department or demand a refund. It just wasn't a good value considering the fact that there are many places to stay and better pricing if you just walk in after you get there.
I do prefer to know where I'm staying the first night, but I'll look around this trip. Too bad we may spend part of our vacation looking at accommodations. And I'll ask to see the room before paying.
Enjoyed our stay....

Found it very quiet and relaxing by the river. Room design good with kids or other adults as beds are seperated by bath area. Balcony nice..Price was excellent compared to some others we checked.
