DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! I usually stay at the Wilderness Resort which I love but decided to try Chula Vista. The last night I stayed there, I left my I-Pod in the room charging while I went to dinner. As I left the room, I asked the maids if they wouldn?t mind providing more towels. When I came back to my room, the towels were there and my I-Pod was gone. The hotel staff said they would investigate and call me back in two to five days. I never received a call. I called them at least 10 times and left messages. Eventually they just left me a message stating that the investigation did not turn up anything. I tried to call them again to find out more and what they were going to do about it but I never received a call back. The hotel did not offer any reimbursement or even an apology! We complained to the Better Business Bureau and the hotel?s response was very rude. The hotel manager had actually instructed other managers not to return our calls! Unless you want to take your chances of your items being stolen, please do not stay at Chula Vista.

Never again

This is not my first stay here but I'll neve come back. The people were rude at the front desk when I checked in and the service never got better. The food was limited & over-priced. My room wasn't cleaned. (No clean towels) There are pleanty of other resorts in the Dells. I don't need Chula Vista.

Definitely A Good Value

I've been visiting the Dells for over 20 years. We've made it up there two times a year for the past 7 years running. We've stayed at all the major resorts and decided to try the Chula Vista. The price was exceptional for the time of the year. The service was good and I was always offered a smile and a thank you from any of the on-site vendors as well as the desk staff. The night before we were set to leave I had some car trouble while in town. I called the resort to ask if they knew of a taxi service I could call and they said, "Oh no. We will come pick you up." Not 5 minutes later a shuttle was there picking us up. When we got back the front desk staff was very helpful pointing out several local shops who could repair my car for me. This is the type of service you expect from a resort. As far as the service goes, we were very happy. I know they just did a major overhaul of the resort but I think they under delivered with the water parks. In Wis Dells you either go big or go home. For the size that the Chula is, I can't imagine how crowded the parks must be. The wave pool is pretty small but the slides indoor and outdoor are fun. hopefully as their traffic grows they will take advantage of the real estate and build another or add on to their outdoor park. We were going to do the all inclusive but wanted to see what it included. Basically there is one restaurant which is buffet only. We are breakfast there and if the dinner is as good we will likely to the all inclusive next visit.

Will come back but not ever buy all-inclusive

We stayed there in the last 4 years we always buy the all -inclusive. This year we did it again. It was SO disappointed. They took the menu away. For example, in the last 4 years if we do not like what is on the buffet we have an option to order from the menu. This year they took that away. The buffet is now 23.00 per person and the breakfast was about 10.00 per person. We will stay because of the waterpark and the hotel. We will not buy the all-inclusive package unless they changes the buffet varieties and put back the menu. Kamaski's brother

When we called to reserve a room for our specific date, the rooms with the double beds were booked so they insisted that the King bedroom suite with the pull out couch would be just fine for my husband and our two children ages 7 & 9. My guess is that the staff have never actually seen these pull out beds. It was awful!! My kids complained every night and asked if they could sleep on the floor instead of that "bed". I felt bad, but I wouldn't allow them to sleep on the floor as it did not seem to be clean. We were in the last tower with the rooms in the * range and were put on the 3rd floor. The hallways smelled very badly of smoke. The rooms were a nice size (very roomy) but again they were not very clean. The indoor waterpark is excellent. The outdoor waterpark is okay.....very small. This resort is also out of town a bit so it was not very convenient to get to other actvities without driving in and out of town each time. Despite the room issues we had a great time at the Dells and will go back.....we will just try a different resort.
