Perfect Hotel, Perfect location, Perfect staff

Stayed at Zodor's for 5 days in May 2009. It was great, the hotel was exactly as advertised. Rooms were clean and fresh, big balconies right over the river with tables and chairs. Front desk staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Pools were clean and nice. Absolutely can not beat the location, within walking distance of dowtown Gatlinburg. I do travel on business frequently and when the company is paying the bill I stay in Hilton, Westin, Omni, etc.. This was a purely recreational trip and Zodor's compares to some of the higher end hotels.

Wonderful Hotel

We had a great time staying at this hotel. We rented a Super Suite for the weekend and it had all the amenities that anyone could ask for; the rooms were huge and very nicely furnished. The staff was super nice and very prompt with all of our requests. The hotel is located on the strip but the surroundings made you feel like you were away from the hustle and bustle of the visitors. We will definitely stay at this hotel on our next visit to Gatlinburg.

For the 60 bucks for thursday and the 100 for weekend days, for the location and price I found it a great deal. The room wasnt the nicest, but we didnt spend very much time there anyway. I plan on booking next years trip there. The staff were very nice and helpful, we elected to refuse house keeping, so cant really share with that, but room was clean when we got there

We stayed in one of their cabins with a hot tub and it was great. We were very favorably impressed with the facilities, the staff, and the amenities. The little extras in motel were great and the brook running right next to our cabin was beautiful. We will return to Zoder's next year.

Only 2 Reasons to stay here

I can think of only 2 reasons to book a stay here: distance to Main Strip of Gatlinburg & indoor pool. The decor & room amenities are dated at best. The mattresses were horrid! Our stay in the 'townhouse' #132 was dreadful and we only have a family of 4! The TV was very old as evidenced by the blurry, poor color, shadowy & unadjustable picture. Limited satellite reception for only a dozen channels for evening viewing. No telephone directory, no microwave, no bottle opener, HOT. Poor in room lighting, tiniest tub I've every seen and spiral staircase that is a danger to one and all. Management needs to seriously reconsider the 'Murphy Bed' in the LR for a hide-a-bed sofa. There was no place to sit in the living room except for 2 straight back chairs. The indoor heated pool was great as was the hot tub. Good supply of pool towels of decent thickness & quality. Fitness area is out in the open of the Snack Bar area which makes it awkward for anyone to truly try to work out. Women's locker & shower room area was clean. The advertised 'Wine & Cheese' in the evening is a laugh. Exiting parking lot is taking your life in your hands blindly. We WON'T return!!!!! Poor value for the price. Tons of non-name brand hotels in the area with much better appointments & facilities. Even the exterior paint job is 60s.This Best Western should be re-visited by Corporate office and close down to enter the 21st Century.
