somewhat dissapointed

When we arrived at the Hotel it was a bit disappointing. The Hotel is very old and needs painting and repair. The walk way was had cigarette butts and other debris in the entrance and the Front Desk clerks were somewhat friendly, on two occassions, they did not acknowledge me until they finished their conversation. The so called private beach was dirty and trashy. It really is used for docking boats...so my kids could not play in that water. The Hotel areas little beach was over a cliff, and if you walked to much you would fall right in to the harbor. The air conditioning unit was so loud, that you could not sleep. The only reason I selected was for price and pet friendly, the breakfast was not so bad, however, I wish I would have searched longer to find a better hotel. I guess you do get what you pay for.

It looks ok from the out side. But the inside is great! Private balcony, great staff, great location. You can walk to many bars and resturants. Will go back

The service, location, and room were great. My favorite part was sitting on my private balcony and watching the dolphins swim by in the harbor. The complementary wine on Wednesdays and champagne on Friday topped just it off. We will be back
*stay on the harbor, they just renovated the rooms*
Close to everything Destin without the price

Simple in it's accompaniements, the hotel has comfortable rooms, great location and outstanding views (especially on the Harbor side). The continental breakfast in the morning is well stocked, and good for a days start. The staff was very friendly through out my stay and I was responded to well in all cases when any interaction occured. The price was a great value, and great for the location. My room was in a quiet part of the hotel, and I found it to be comfortable and quiet. I have stayed in other hotels in the area, and found it to be, in support of what I wanted a hotel to be, comparable to all fo those which I had stayed in before.
Always Remember: You get what you pay for...sometimes less.

This hotel looked okay on the website. It had a great photo of the front canopy. We entered the hotel to view the dated lobby. We knew we made a mistake upon entering the elevator. The room was not worth the money. We will not stay in this hotel again.
