We decided on a quick little getaway, so we had a limited choice of places to stay in Wildwood N.J. but we were able to book a room at the Daytona Motor Inn. As many beach town visitors are awhere of you really never know what kind of place your going to find till you arrive. We visit Wildwood about once a year and our normal motel was unavailable so we took a shot with this one. We are so happy we did! The Daytonas staff was so friendly and courteous from the moment we walked into there establishment. We opted for a "sweet" which was at a rate of $99. per night. This room was so clean and well kept we were in shock, even the smell was pleasent (not a cover up). The grounds of the motel were very nice and also clean. We are very pleased and will always tell others of the Daytona and by the way we will no longer visit our "regular" motel cause our new vacation home is The Daytona Motor Inn. Thank you Daytona for a wonderful little vacation.

Room was clean but no major upgrades seem to have been made since it was built. They close the pool down right at ten so it was quiet even though we it was Memorial Day weekend. As some of the other reviews pointed out, be sure to pack your own hairdryer and shampoo. While there are other hotels that are a bit closer to the beach, the location was good and the staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us with some travel needs.

Check-in was very quick. Room was small , but clean and updated with bright and cheery decor. Very happy with friendly and attentive staff. Close to Convention center was very conveniently located near amusements. Heated pool was a pleasure. Will return again this summer!

Negatives - With a last minute business trip, this hotel was the only one available on labor day weekend that was on the NJ coast. Therefore the cost for the tiny room with no view of anything was exhorbant ($* including tax), but understood. There was no breakfast, coffee pot in the room, or hair dryer (all important for me). Also the hotel was not in the best part of town.....
Positives - The location was 1 1/2 blocks from the boardwalk, beach, and many restaurants, so it was convenient and did not have to drive during my stay. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel was two blocks from the boardwalk. The area seemed safe. The man at the front desk was very nice. However, the room was very low budget. Despite that, the room smelled damp and musky. After the maid cleaned, the room smell damp and musky with a hint of room freshener. Wildwood was great. This hotel is for sleeping and bathing only. We watched tv only to get the weather. The objective: sleep, bathe and get out to the boardwalk.
