Terrible Old Rooms!

  • September 14, 2009

Terrible old hotel. Better hotels for less $$$ all around the area. Rooms are about 30 years old and very dirty. No views at all from courtyard rooms - just views of the windows in other courtyard rooms. You can't even see the sky from these rooms !! Terrible!!

Comfortable location

Hotel staff was very friendly, unit was well maintained, but the view consisted of a window on an interior courtyard, not the harbor, so that was a bit misleading. Restaurant on-site was good, but like most hotel restaurants, a bit overpriced. Location was good only a short walk to the beach or to other numerous restaurants.

Great staff-friendly, beautiful surroundings. Easy walk to shops, beach, restaurants, trolly systems. Nice pools, good food, very pleasant atmosphere.

Great Hotel

newly renovated rooms - sunset villas . close to beach, pools
and bar. crabby bills good place to eat and you don't have
to get dressed up. room #151 had 2 queen beds , sleeper
sofa and full side kitchen with dishwasher. Dishes and pots
and pans were all included. Also there were 2 T.V.'s
John's Pass was only a few minutes away by car. There
were stores to shop in and restaurants to eat in- Bubba Gump's
shrimp company just recently opened. It was a very unique
restaurant.
My family and I are going back again.

Originally Townhouses that make a great Hotel

As the title says, this resort was originally built as a Townhouse Complex but for one reason or another a Holiday Inn Franchisee bought the property and did some minor conversions to make it a Hotel. I've never stayed in a Hotel that offers 2 floor rooms with the main living/dining/kitchen area on the first floor with bedrooms on the second floor. They also offer standard hotel rooms which I believe are the origial master bedrooms from the original townhouse design. If you have a large family, this room can also be rented as part of the entire unit by way of an adjoining door. The location is excellent being within walking distance of numerous restaurants and bars. There are actually several restaurants/bars located within the complex along with shopping, fitness clubs, tiki bars, etc to make it enticing enough to never really have to leave the complex. Very clean, very quiet, very well maintained and an all around great atmosphere makes this Hotel a sure thing for me on my next trip to this area.
