Disgusting

This hotel was dirty and smelled of mothballs. The breakfast was terrible. The staff originally stated I booked 2 double rooms and 1 single room when I actually booked 3 double rooms and 1 single room. The staff only gave me my third room after I showed him my paperwork from travel website. Thank god I brought it. The hallways are small and some of the rooms have no windows. The security door chains were either broke or gone. In serious disrepair and a disgusting place to stay. Trust me, save your money.

Hallways and rooms are small, old, and dirty. Bathrooms the same. Peeling paint on bathtub. Stains on ceiling. Walls had screws sticking out, pencil marks, etc. I immediately requested a refund and found a different hotel. That said, the staff was courteous and accomadated my request with no problems. I would rank this less than a one star hotel. It is the cheapest hotel downtown, but it is still way overpriced for the quality.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever seen!! From the front desk to the elevator to the hotel room, everything was dirty, run down and is a rent by the hour not by day. The room was not cleaned, there was blood on my pillowcase, toothpaste on the sink and a spider in my bed. The dresser drawers were broken the faucet in the bathtub was rusted out and I would never consider standing in the shower. The floors were dirty and the ceiling was about to cave in from water damage. Needless to say I did not even stay the night...I got out of there as fast as I checked in. Don't stay here...spend 20-30 more a night and stay at the Candlewood suites where they have a free shuttle to downtown..it is beautiful.
Beats $180.00

The property's old and needs a referb. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was OK. For FDIC, it's not like you're in the room a lot. About a 5 block walk to convention center, which wasn't bad. Beats paying $160-$200.
First Impressions

The first impressions of this hotel were awful. Part of the problem was the directions from the Cincinnati, OH area had us wondering around for about 30 min in downtown Indy trying to find the place. We then called the front desk and were given wrong directions again. Once we finally arrived the parking garages are small, dank, dark and the bottom level has no access to the front desk to check in without exiting the structure, going up to street level and walking in the front door. The hallways are dim narrow and decorated like the hotels in an 80's slasher film. The room was big and fairly clean. We did get the king room which came with a microwave and mini-fridge. One thing we noticed was there are 3 or 4 bail bondsmen w/in about a block of the hotel. The hotel is located on the fringe of downtown but is a reasonable walk to everything. Its about a half mile to the downtown mall, there are many restaraunts and bars within the same vicinity. Conseco field house is less than a block away. And Meridian street, which is the club district is probably about 3/4 of a mile away.
I guess the take-away is if you are looking for some place just to crash and are not concerned with the asthetics of your hotel, this will do the trick.
