completely satisfying stay

My wife and I decided to try out the Gold Coast after reading some of the reviews and checking prices. We are very glad we did. We drove out there from Texas. First off there is a free parking garage attached to the hotel and casino which was easily accessible. I am handicapped. The staff were very friendly and competent. The check in took just a couple minutes and we got the kind of room we were hoping for with no hassles. The rooms were clean and for us more than enough. The food options were excellent. We pretty much stuck to the very reasonably priced buffet and thanks to the Players club rewards and special deals we had at least one free meal each day. Gambling choices extensive from penny on up. Basically this place had everything we needed and wanted for a very fun and memorable trip to Las Vegas at a very affordable price. There is a free shuttle that runs from the Gold Coast to Bills on the strip, right across from Bally's, then if you want you can get double decker bus for 7.00 all day for anywhere else on strip or downtown. After you have been where you want just get back to Bills and free shuttle back to Gold Coast. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to Las Vegas and now hopefully it will be sooner than later. If you are coming here so you can say you spent a night at MGM or Caesars Palace then you would want to do that, but if you are coming here to have fun and make your money last a while, then I highly recommend a stay at the Gold Coast. It was just that great a deal!!!!!

Perfect for our needs!!!

Room was quiet and clean. Bed was comfortable. Nothing fancy, but we didn't pay for fancy either. We didn't choose the "premium" room, and while ours was a little worn, we were still very happy for the price we paid. The casino was nice and open without the frenzied atmosphere we saw in others. The free shuttle was great, never had a long wait and only a few minutes to the drop-off spot which was mid-strip. The hotel is just a short walk to the Rio and across the street from the Palms. We even did some bowling at 2 am! Their pool area is plain and small, but also wasn't crowded. The Ports O'Call buffet was wonderful! Their pricing was very reasonable and we had both breakfast and dinner there. One night we arrived too late and ate at TGI's instead - also quick service and great food. Although we didn't eat at Ping Pang Pong, it was always busy and they even had customers coming from other hotels to pick up carry-out orders which we thought spoke very well for them. We will not hesitate to stay here again, although I will watch for another special rate like we had this time. In truth, even the gambling seemed better here with looser slots and gaming tables that weren't over-crowded. Thanks Gold Coast, it was a wonderful stay!

DON"T STAY HERE

My stay turned into a disaster when they forgot to extend my stay as requested and had no vacancies. The manager, who was standing less than 10 feet from me, refused to talk to me. They helped me find another room only after I asked which the clerk told me was down the street when it was really 3.5 miles away. No offer of a ride. No apology extended until I wrote a letter of complaint. I will never stay here again.

Best friend's 40th birthday trip.

The hotel was fine. It was a good walk from the strip. But we had a car so that was ok. I wished that it offered shows of some sort. But all in all it was good. I would stay again. There is an TGIF on the main floor. So that was a plus. The rooms were good size. It was me and my bestfriend so the closet space was tight. We stayed in the standard room with 2 beds. Sort of wished we had a fridge and microwave so that we could reheat and store our leftovers. The room service was great. Our television went out and the service tech was at our door within minutes of calling downstairs. We had a good stay.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY. GOOD PAY OUTS!
