Great Room, Good food, nice staff

Gold Coast is a great off the strip hotel. We stay every year for conventions. The bed is comfy, room is nice but the older style room is a little nicer and better lit. They've redone some of the rooms, updating the cosmetics and redoing the bath with a new sink, more counter space, marble tops, new toilet, and shower, replacing the shower/tub. It kinda works with a very light spritzing so you'll need a longer time to wash and the temps vary a lot so watch out. This one got very cold with no provocation and it never quite got warm. The lack of a shower door allowed water to wet down most of the area so a bath mat was necessary to wipe up. Food was really good in all restaurants but am sorry the Italian restaurant is gone, it was a hidden gem. The buffet was very good as always and selection is amazing. There is also a cafe in a sectioned off part of the buffet area. Everyone on staff was accommodating and very pleasant all the time.
What's good: Food, comfort, price, very nice staff.
What needs help: Shower in the redone rooms needs a better head and door.

We picked this casino since it is off the strip but still close enough to get there easily. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Parking is easy and plentiful. Room was quiet and we did not miss the noise of the strip when we went to bed. Would recommend to anyone that likes a little quieter and slower stay.

It's nice the room's come with a flat screen TV & T.G.I. Friday's is a great place to eat & great prices too. The Bowling alley is $1 games, shoes & a cold Beer For only Dollar each. Great shuttle service to the strip Free! Employees are very friendly & the Valet is great too. I would come back to this hotel the next time i come to Vegas. All of their restaurant's are great priced & good food. Room was very Clean & with free lotion,soap (Body Wash) shampoo & conditioner. If you need annything extra they brought it to me promptly with no extra charge. I recomend this place for all family types.It's next to The palms hotel & the Rio Also. Have A great Vacation In Vegas!

the front desk was very nice. room service was nice and effecient. our overall stay was wonderful. the hotel was a littel way from the strip, but since we drove there and had our car, it was not an issue. the pool was a little too far way to really use. the room was lovely but smaller then i was expecting. a super great stay for the money.
