If you are visiting Seattle and plan on doing the touristy Pike Market, ferry rides or shopping, this is a great place. You are a short walk from all of the above. I did not find the rooms too small and my tv worked great, but our other party said their tv was too staticy to watch. You do have to pay extra for parking and it's not ADA compliant (they are vintage/historic). If you can not go up/down stairs, you will have problems getting to the elevator.

Bathroom had lots of mold, and so small couldn't sit straight on toilet. Hotel has "musty" smell. Dining room too specific to Japanese cuisine - had to eat elsewhere for all meals. Location OK, but cost too high for what you get. Would not return. Staff not very helpful re questions on getting around the city.

This was my second stay at this hotel and while my first stay was quite pleasant the second was a little less enjoyable. If you are on an adults only trip this hotel is excellent. The location downtown is fantastic and there are any number of exciting and interesting things to do easily within walking distance. If you are traveling with children, or an infant as was my case, you'd be better served by a different hotel. This place is no child/infant friendly and with older, thinner walls I felt a little guilty for the noise my child made not matter how brief the moment. If you are driving at all and have need to park a car unless you're willing to pay $* plus dollars a day stay away. The evening clerks were very friendly and enjoyable, the morning clerks seemed highly irritated that we were staying with them.

iIwas kind of iffy about others reviews on this hotel and surprisingly it exceeded my expectation. The front desk person, named Alex, was very welcoming and informative to all the questions we had about the hotel and city. The location of the hotel was perfect. Everything was either a walk away or a short bus ride away. I would definately stay there again.

Constructive Report

Rooms are very small. no room for luggage. The two nearby restaurants (Italian up the street and fast food Mexican across the street )were not satisfactory. The Italian had an unusual menu. No gift shop for forgotten items. The light in bathroom not adequate for shaving. Desperately in need of refurbishing!
