Absolutely wonderful place! From the moment of arrival, to our departure. Top notch staff and concierge (got us tix to a comedy club for free!). You feel like royalty. Worth every penny...and being right on the beach...FANTASTIC. Kudos. The best Marriott I've ever stayed at, and I've stayed at plenty-

The Marriott Marco Island was the worst hotel we have stayed at in a long time. Our ocean view reservation was ignored and we had a view of the top of palm trees. The carpet had a horrible black stain across the middle of the floor. The wallpaper in the bath was peeling. The toilet and tub were dirty. We were not offered any housekeeping service for the two days we stayed there. And finally the hotel staff were extremely rude. Customer service just did not exist. We will not stay there again.

Good Beachfront Marriott Property

I stayed here with family prior to New Year's Eve and was fairly satisfied with the hotel overall. For this trip, I redeemed Marriott Rewards points for a double bed standard room. At this property, customers redeeming points are allowed two complimentary breakfast buffets per day. The hotel was charging rates in neighborhood of $495+, which while it was around Christmas and News Years seems very high given the condition of the rooms and amenities offered.
The food overall, was about what I expected however the Kurrents steak and seafood restaurant was remarkable. They have wonderful filets and side dishes like fried rice that are great to share. However, I was particularly dissatisfied with the Tropiks buffet restaurant. The food on the buffet line as terrible; and appeared to have been reheated from the night before. Quinn's on the beach front was decent and offered burgers and sandwiches but was also carried the typical resort prices.
The resort has many pools, however I would have liked a dedicated adults/16+ pool or hours that designate that. The hotel offers a spa pool which does charge for access and is on the small side and secluded from the beach front.
Fitness center was very large and had modern equipment. Beach front location and convenience can't be beat.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days on a long weekend. This resort was very nice and has a tropical feel with paver pathways and palm trees. Marco Island is gorgeous place to visit. Since it was the off season, they upgrade our room to a gulf view for free. The balconies are great to sit out on and watch the ocean and pool. They offer live music at the restaurants that over look the ocean. The pizza place is a cool place to eat dinner and watch the sun set over the ocean. We plan to come back and bring the kids next time.
