An Elegant Hotel in the perfect Location!

Let me start by saying, I take a trip to DC every summer. I've always stayed at Holiday Inn on the Hill, which is across the street from the Hyatt Regency. This year I decided to take a chance with Hyatt. Not only were the hotel rates cheaper, they also included a free buffet breakfast for two. The difference between the two hotels is significant. From the outside, the Hyatt looks a bit formidable, but when you enter you know it's leaps beyond Holiday Inn. It has a much richer look, with multiple escalators, a restaurant, and a gift shop all within your view.
The rooms are also nicer and cleaner than the Holiday Inn. The beds are extremely comfortable, and had me sleeping in no time (a big task for an insomniac like myself) The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the lack of tinted windows. My room was on the 3rd floor right by the swimming pool and sun tanning area. .The bathroom is nice and spacious, though it could be a bit longer for tall guys like me (6'4).
Breakfast was also included with our stay. We had t o wait in line to be seated, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The buffer selection was quite good, including various cereals, yogurt, fruits, scones, muffins, French toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage. Everything I had tasted great.
Overall, I was very pleased with this hotel. Just a few blocks from Union Station, and the same for the US Capitol. It's truly a great value and I'll definitely stay there again!

The Hyatt personel was extremely pleasant and friendly. The only thing was that they forgot to let us know we had complimentary continental breakfast, but after we brought this to their attention they credit our account for the charge. Clean room/bathroom, comfortable and clean bed. Convenient location to Capitol Hill, The Mall and other tourist sites.
Extremely Dissapointed

When someone books a hotel they should actually be able to stay at that hotel, not be moved across the street. In the least somebody, Online travel website of the hotel should have alerted me about the problem so I could have stayed in my spare room, it would have been the same basically. All of this made for disapointing first honeymoon. If I hadn't booked two more rooms through Online travel website already, I would probably look for other options for travel plans.
