It was ok but there was really no where to eat near the hotel and the experience was not worth what i paid. There was also no parking for the hotel, just valet parking which was $41 per night.

The personnel at the Hyatt were really nice. They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Our room was very clean. The construction going on in the lobby did not interfer with our good time. The only thing I would say that was not good is that there is no free parking. It is VERY EXPENSIVE to park at the hotel. It is valet parking only for $41.00 daily!! If you park anywhere else is has to be down the block in a public parking garage for about
$8.00/hr. or $17.00 daily. Anyone who stays there needs to know this in advance, since it can make the difference in whether you rent a car or not.

A little hard to get to by car but a great location for being on foot. Staff worked very hard for their tips. Concierge was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Don't let the reviews about the fire house across the street scare you away.

Went to DC for a quick visit. Hotel has a great location walking distance to monuments & museums. Wear comfortable walking shoes! Valet parking convienent yet expensive. We parked at hotel for the night, then moved the car to garage on E street right accross the block for only $10 for all of Sunday - this way we didnt pay a 2nd day at the hotel and spent the entire day in the museums. Hotel restaurant looked nice, however well overpriced - eat at the Billy Goat tavern for quick breakfast or lunch - right next to starbucks close to the hotel on New Jersey avenue, good food, very reasonable prices. Tip: we found a great casual restaurant/pub near the White House called The Elephant and Castle - great food, great atmosphere no wait! Located at 1201 Pennsylvania Ave. Along that part of Pennsylvania avenue there are a few restaurants to choose from, other than that we were at a loss as where to eat.
You can get a walking map at the front desk which gives great detail of the streets in the area and all the museums and monuments. Would definatly stay here next time we visit DC. Would never try to drive around, next time we will also try the metro. We hear that is a great way to travel.

The Hotel is very nice the Beds are very comfortable. The Staff was very nice. The Breakfast Buffet was exceptional, Note: If you want something prepared like eggs, omlets or pancakes you have to ask. We were not told of this until the third day. It is close to Union Station and the Metro so you can walk there and go anywhere you wish to go.
We slept well (Despite the Fire Station directly across the street) for the first three nights. On Saturday the hotel booked every available room to hundreds of College Frat kids. Some were intoxicated all were loud and having a good time from 8PM until we left at 6AM Sunday morning with no sleep. The Hotel Staff did nothing to try to quiet the kids down. They should have given us a free night since we did not sleep due to the noise of the kids and the elevator overload alarm going off all night long. They did not even offer.
