Quote: The hotel was OK. It really did not seem like a 4 star hotel. I could have stayed at a Motel 8 and had the same experience. The room smelled funny and the toilet was really loud when flushed. Not peaceful at all. If I was given this room for free, I would give it back. The hotel staff was friendly though except when housekeeping was banging on the door before it was time for us to check out. We still had a couple of hours before checkout time. There was no privacy sign for the door, so we figured we would not be bothered until checkout time. We will not be staying at the Sheraton again. I am going to stick with the Hilton from now on.
Quote: I loved my stay at the Sheraton Dallas. I was informed that the hotel recently underwent a massive renovation, and it showed. The room was great, and the sports lounge in the lobby was a great place to eat and watch a couple games in the evening. The hotel also has a DART station outside its doors which makes getting around Dallas very easy. I would definitely stay at the Sheraton again, and would recommend it to anyone that asks.
Quote: I have stayed in this hotel for 5 years in a row. This hotel would never be my first choice but I stay here for a convention. This time as with every other year, we had problems with check-in and check out. We were under and over charged and were locked out of our room due to their mistakes. Also, the tub had not been cleaned. I don't think this Sheraton stands up to the brand promise. Not looking forward to next year. It is not the best Sheraton I have stayed in.
Quote: Was awakened at 7AM to the fire alarm to exit using the stairs. I was on the 31st floor. When my roommates and other floor members got to the bottom, nobody else had evacuated. We went to the front desk and they nonchalantly said there was a sprinkler malfunction on that floor. We did get free breakfast out of that one. The next night I waited in line an hour to get 3 receipts for check out, and the gal in charge of our line decided to leave for lunch and not tell anyone. A lady at the front of the line asked where our gal was, and the other clerk nonchalantly said she was at lunch. My roommate had called down for towels, and we still have yet to receive them. The next morning when attempting to check out using the TV it kept saying to... Read More
Quote: My husband and I stayed here for the weekend along with some out of town guests who were here for a family member's graduation. The hotel is massive, so initially, I was a little confused. But I was totally taken by the ambience of the hotel and the luxury of the rooms. The room was spacious; the amenities were nice, the fitness center was just like being at my health club, and the staff was accommodating. Parking was pricey, but I've come to expect that in larger cities. I was somewhat disappointed with the breakfast buffet in that I felt it didn't offer enough variety for the money, but the setting was nice and the food was decent. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I wish internet were complimentary and it would be nice if... Read More
Quote: My family had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Very clean rooms. Fantastic workout facility/swimming pool. Very child friendly and the service was second to none. We will definatly return to this place. We loved the oversized rooms.
Quote: I have stayed at this hotel 3 times for a convention (I would not stay on my initaitive), and each time the customer service has been HORRIBLE! Each time I have stayed, it has taken close to an hour to check in, even with few people or noone else in line, check out time takes at least fifteen minutes. Parking is confusing, and the people who work in the parking area cannot seem to answer simple questions, such as where do buses park. On my most recent stay, it took 3 hours to get a roll of toilet paper. On positive thing that I will say is that MOST of the staff is friendly in spite of appearing to be poorly trained on proper procedures.
Quote: The location is IN downtown Dallas, so parking was a nightmare, and it was a fairly long distance from parking to rooms. The hotel charges $ per night for parking, which wasn't disclosed at purchase. The staff was friendly, but horribly incompetent. We spent 20 minutes at the front desk waiting to get a room key and we were the only ones checking in, but the front desk eventually finally gave up on trying to make us a key and said security would meet us at the room and let us in. We waited another 15 minutes in the hallway of the hotel waiting for security. Once we got in the room everything was fine, except the sheets & toilet paper in the room were both of inferior quality, bed was comfortable aside from the sheets and the room had... Read More
