Quote: I visit Vegas few times a year. This was my first time staying at Gold Spike; good ratings, competitive price(but not the best if you add up resort fee), and its advertising(newly remodeled). Greeting was good. Elevator was scary experience; not a... Read the full Goldspike Hotel And Casino review

Great place to stay

Quote: I can not say enough great things about the staff. The people in the Gold Grill were very friendly and the food was great. The room itself was good and the location is even better. One block off Freemont Street. Will for sure stay there again.

It was clean and comfy.

Quote: It didn't look all that great, but in the end I can say I would stay there again. It was close to Freemont and we were able to take the shuttle bus, and go where we wanted and was even taken to and from the airport.

Good value for the price

Quote: Located very close to all downtown casinos. Provides a good place to sleep with few amenties. Restaurant was fair - tried the meal special at about 11PM - food was ok but not that fresh - got what I paid for. Has limited parking.

Good for the money

Quote: I was looking for a cheap place to stay for the night and I found it here. The hotel was undergoing renovations when I stayed so some areas were a work in progress. I was kept on the phone for over three hours talking to... Read the full Goldspike Hotel And Casino review

  • February 4, 2011
Quote: I've stayed in many of the budget hotels in and around Las Vegas, and this was the best yet. Somewhere between travel agency and the Gold Spike, my reservation had been lost, but the lady at the desk assured me that she would sort it out, and... Quote: Crappy hotel, but you can't beat 9 bucks a night. First off... * elevators stink, they have a musty smell * the carpet in the room was filthy * wallpaper peeling on window ledge * hole in wall didn't hold the Kleenex box * shower was POWERFUL...
