The hotel was perfect...Right on Cannery Row, but towards the end, which means it is quieter. Walking distance to all the fun stuff, aquarium, etc.
I was able to purchase tickets for the aquarium at the hotel, saving me a trip.
They hotel even delivered a portable crib for my 1 year old son.
Fresh Air and some space

We walled into the room and the bed was immediately upon us. Room was small and the air in the room was very musty. Turned on air conditioner to try to get some fresh air in along with opening the windows all night long. Should have spend $20 more and stayed at a nicer place.

First impressions were good. Nice drive up, car taken from us, checkin was fast then horrible. Room hot and noisy. An additional fan was already in the room. Management rude and unwilling to help. Told us none of the hotels in Monterey had air-con, untrue. Restaurant staff slow, untrained and unmotivated. Had to checkout early. Bad management throughout. Having read other reviewes since I see that we were not just unlucky. Avoid!

Claims to be a quality hotel. Hot, noisey, no air-con, management rude, staff untrained. Worst hotel ever stayed in.

This is definitely a "couples" hotel. We brought our 2 year old daughter and couldn't utilize the restaurants (too nice). Also, "ocean view" required us to stand up to see out of the high window. Our daughter had to stand on a chair. FYI>
