Too expensive, no amenities

We booked this Hilton for the AARP convention at the slightly discounted rate but even that was very high. I was afraid to try the Sheraton across the street because on the map it appeared to be right on I-95 highway. As it turns out the Sheraton (which costs $* a night less than the Hilton) was such a better location being attached to the Prudential Center with MAJOR shopping and restaurants.
I was really disappointed that even at the exaggerated price there was NO breakfast of any kind at this Hilton - nor were there any other amenities that would set it apart or make it an attractive vacation option for you.
Our housekeeper would forget something each day - one day towels, the next day ice bucket liner. The rooms were OK but the Hilton uses down comforters instead of blankets (and I understand the concept of being able to wash the duvet cover) but they were too heavy and hot for summer. We pulled them off. And does one need four pillows per bed?
I would not stay there again. There are better/cheaper/nicer/more interesting options almost everywhere. I guess Paris Hilton needs the money - but I won't be paying her again.

I had to arrive after midnight but the manager arranged my room and kept all promises. It was a great room with a great view. I enjoyed the location since it was out of the main traffic areas and yet convenient (within ~2 miles of most sites). One of the best hotels as far as service that I have stayed with. Very good restuarant as well.

I've stayed in many hotels in Boston from 5 stars to 2 or 3 and this by far was the best! For a very cheap rate for Boston's standards I had the largest room I've ever had in a Boston hotel. It was a corner room on the 18th floor with a small balcony and a huge bathroom. It had the best view ever! I was overlooking the Charles River and Fenway Park...and just steps from the Prudential Center, fabulous shopping and even better restaurants. I would reccommend the Back Bay Hilton to anyone!
