This is a good hotel in the middle of the Paris garmet district. After 5 pm it is where the prostitutes hang out. Taxi's don't know where the street is. It's about a 40 minute walk to Notre Dame and/or the Lourve. It's very nice looking. The rooms are very nice and clean and the day staff is very helpful. but a couple of things happened that I didn't care for. To begin with there is a complimentary breakfast of which I at at each morning. As I was checking out I was told the although the breakfast is free, coffee with breakfast is 4 euro a day???????? and was charged. I was surprised by this and the fact that it is not written in any of the literature. If it had been I would not had the darn coffee. Additionally, I am a smoker and this is a non-smoking hotel. Needing a cigarette in the middle of the night I went down stars to go out and smoke. When I got to the reception area the night clerk was asleep on a couch. When he woke up I told him I needed to go outside to have a cigarette at which he told me he was sleeping and not going to let me out?????? He told me to go back to my room and smoke out the window. Finally, the second day of my trip my room had my baggage all over it and I decided to leave the do not disturb sign on my door. To my surprise when I got back to the room, the do not disturb sign was back in the room and the room had been cleaned????? Again, a very good value for Paris, but I would not stay there.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at the Golden Tulip in Paris. The staff were very accomidating and assisted us with maps and directions .The room, which was on the top floor, has a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower .The bathroom was large and comfortable. The beed and decour were both stylish and comfortable, resectively. The hotel had excellent access to the train station. Breakfast was fine but,in retrospect, was not worht the additional charge and we could have eaten at one of the near by restaurants. The hotel is definately romantic and well worth the cost. We definately would stay there again.

Typical European hotel. Small room, bathroom, elevator. Friendly staff, recommended a patisserie for breakfast, did not eat in hotel, clean room, glass shower stall, balcony, 6th floor had view of top of Eiffel Tower from balcony location was close to two metro stations, area was very quiet, isolated at night,

The staff was exceedingly polite and immediately spoke English when necessary. The staff made sure we were comfortable and they helped make restaurant and tour reservations. The hotel room was spotless, with a large clean bathroom and a magnificent eighth floor view of the rooftops of Paris with the Eiffel tower in the picture. The hotel is situated very close to two Metro lines and is within walking distance to all of central Paris. I would definitely stay here again.
