Description: The Hotel Cayre was perhaps the best hotel I have stayed at in the past 15 years. It is pricey but not out of control and is worth every penny. If you are not doing a package or tour to Paris, I strongley suggest contacting the Hotel directly for the best deal and rates. The hotel is located on the edge of the 7th and 6th Arrondisement (district):the Boulevard Saint Germain crosses Raspail and takes you right to fantastic shops the Saint Germain is becoming known for and the Latin Quarter The Metro Rue Du Bac station is right out front. A 20-minute walk can take you to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, or The Louvre, if you prefer that over the Metro.
Everyone on the staff was very helpful, and even when busy were willing to assist you and offer suggestions on brasseries, cafes, and restaurants. The rooms are fantastic, smaller than what most Americans are used to, but still roomy and private for Paris. We had the pleasure of staying in one of the few rooms with a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. I also have to mention that looking at all of the photographs of the hotel do not do it justice. It has been newly renovated and is a truly beautiful place. It seems the hotel, promotion-wise, is modest, and this only adds to its charm and elegance.
