Good walking locale

THe hotel is well situated to walk to the sights without a big price tag. One problem I did have is the breakfast was not included and cost a lot of Euro. Also, the double beds are really two small beds put together. But overall it was a great experience.

K and K Hotel Cayre, Paris

We spent 5 nights at the K & K Hotel in Paris and were completely satisfied with the accommodations. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was just across the street from the Rue de Bac Metro Station which made getting around town that much easier. In addition, it was located about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile from the Seine, Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. Bottom-line, the hotel and its staff helped make our trip a great one!!!!

No Concierge?!?!

I stayed at this hotel for five nights in early September of 2008. I was awed by the online pictures of the hotel lobby and modern amenities, and the reviews that I read seemed incredible. And, in fact, the hotel is very lovely. The lobby is stylish, though MUCH smaller than it seems in the pictures, and the rooms are okay, even though they are also much smaller than they appear from the photos. However, I understand that the hotel is in Paris, where rooms are generally smaller than comparable hotels in the states, so I was not surprised or really disappointed by this discrepancy. The real disappointment, in my opinion, was the reception staff. Half of them were downright unfriendly (a stark contrast to the French people I met outside of the hotel who were all extremely friendly and helpful). Also, I read on the hotel website that there is a concierge, which is not true. When I asked where to find the concierge, the person working at the reception desk told me they could handle any bookings that were needed if I brought them the exact tour that I wanted to go on along with the phone number and an internet address if possible! At that point, I realized it would be easier to make all necessary reservations myself. To cap it off, when I was in line to check out, I overheard a couple in front of me ask if the hotel could call a taxi for them. The person at the desk simply replied, "we don't do that." Some kind of concierge! Also, completely unrelated, there were dead bugs in my bed.

I was so happy I cried the whole time!

I'm a teacher. I don't have much money. I am very cheap on hotels. But the thing about travelocity is when they do packages, they don't tell you how much you are spending for the flight and how much you are spending for the hotel... I had no idea, they created a package that I could afford that included this hotel. It might be the best hotel in the history of life. I LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I was so overwhelmed when I checked in the desk person was like...um... so can I give you anything at all? a map of the city? something? I was was just so estatic to be in Paris... I sort of nodded. The location is EXCELLENT. You could not ask for more. The room was tiny but... miniature perfection even with a view of nothing but the wall of the rest of the hotel. It was a divine view of nothing. It was the best thing ever. At some point um I may or may not have had a new friend over... He ordered us a beer or two and the "waitress" took it up to my room on a silver platter on the elevator. It was all very grand ( the guy was kinda awesome too...) The location is perfect! Walk to the Louvre, Musee D'orsay, the metro is steps from the entrance.... they play up at the website these "heated floors" in the bathroom and I was thinking... I am going in April who cares? Um it was marvelous. Everything about the trip was Divine. I want to go stay there again. It's kind of weird to have to check your bizarro room key in and out when you leave and come back... but also kind of Parisian. STAY IN THIS HOTEL!

Wonderful!!

The room is great, the bathroom squeaky clean (it was a wonderfully pleasant surprise) and the shower is awesome! Everyone spoke perfect English with us and the nearby gas station has a wonderful bakery and sells great paninis (we had their paninis for breakfast everyday!).
