Poor Service - Typical Sleazy Casino

Bait and switch. Got overcharged (euros instead of dollars) on arrival. Management justified charge by stating got 30% discount from rack rate (to them, 230 Euros is 30% discount from 300 Euros).
Management staff irritable, supercilious. Cost is no concern to them, as long as it's someone else who's paying. And don't act American and working class, they're above all that.
Rooms below par, low roof, cramped bathroom, equivalent of a middle-America hotel. Nice harbor view with noise from ships 24/7. Lots of pretentious "nouveau riche" showing how much of other peoples' money they can afford to lose.
A must miss, -5 on a 0 to five scale. Go to the Vista Palace uphill, or even the smaller hotels in Beausoleil. People are nicer and the rooms are pretty much equivalent. The Vista Palace view blows the Fairmont away, the rooms are much nicer and rates are about half.
