Great location - right on the tube stop

Stayed here for a week during a business trip to London. The location is great - lots of fabulous restaurants within walking distance, and a short bus ride up the road to Knightsbridge for some high-end shopping. Walking distance (long walk!) to Hyde Park, and right across a road from the Gloucester Tube Station. Hotel houses a lot of flight crews, which can make check-in tricky if you time it wrong. I left bags with the bellman and didn't have any problems. I had no internet cable for the room, but maintenance brought one up to me very quickly. Internet costs here are OUTRAGEOUS!! Nearly 20 pounds a day for internet service - you would be better off getting a one month subscription to British Telcom service or going across the street to an internet cafe. The room had a small refrigerator and coffee maker (which didn't work so they had to bring me a new one). The bathroom was FABULOUS - luxurious, with a nice robe. The room had an iron, ironing board, and safe - which was very convenient. I ate at the nearby restaurants, but only one (the Chinese restaurant) was affiliated with the hotel. Overall - the hotel is nice, but pricey with pricey ammenities (like internet service).

Great Value - Excellent Location

Take advantage of their special rate as this is an excellent value! The hotel is located directly across the street from the Gloucester Road tube station which serves 3 lines. You are only 10-15 mins away from all major site-seeing venues. The rooms are well-sized, especially the bathrooms, although the shower is a struggle for anyone over 6 ft. Our room was very clean, with the minor exception of some water stains on the ceiling. One complaint is that the rooms did not have a clock. Gloucester Road area is also very nice - some good restaurants and pubs nearby.

Concierge was fantastic. Next door to Tube, night life and shops. Felt first class as staff was kind. The air conditioning was out in the room and not needed due to London cool weather but needed fan. Overall I would go back to this hotel and do recomend it highly. Thanks travel website for a good job on this trip.

Easy Access

The hotel was about a block and a half from the tube station, which made it very easy to get around the city. Dining outside the hotel was convenient with fast food restaurants, pubs, and fine dining options within a couple blocks. While we paid more for this hotel than I would normally pay in the U.S., it was a nice room; and less than some hotels in the heart of the city.
