I arrived very late but the young lady that checked me in was very courteous and patient with me. She even gave me an upgrade to a bayview room. Everyone associated with this hotel treated me with respect and offered assistance whenever I aked for help of any kind. The room was exceptional, very clean and comfortable. I was the last customer in their restaurant for the evening and I had ,by far, THE BEST STEAK that anyone could ask for. I definately would stay there again and would recommend it to everyone

Really liked the Catamaran

Beautiful grounds, very nice staff. We had 3 adults booked into a regular room where we would have needed a roll-away bed, and we were upgraded to a higher floor in the tower with a bay and ocean view and a bigger "suite" room with a sofa bed. It was nice being right on the bay (quieter, less windy) but only a block from the ocean. I would recommend the Catamaran to anyone looking for a spot by the ocean. The rooms are dated but clean. One recommendation - spa and fitness center were great, but would be fun to add a sunrise yoga class too!

Had a good time

I have to say that most of the reviews about the place were dead on, both positive and negative. The place is a bit old, but not horrible. We stayed in the tower and had a bayview room, which had an awesome view of the bay and ocean. You can't beat the location. I experienced mild fluctuations in water temperature, and the water pressure was a bit low. The room was a lot smaller than expected, and I was disappointed that it didn't have a refridgerator. The are plenty of activities to do around there, or you can just hang out and enjoy the view and relax. Oh and I did notice a smell that another reviewer mentioned, however it wasn't that bad and once I got in the room I just opened the sliding glass door and the smell went away.

Great Place to Vacation!!

Me and my girlfriend stayed her for 5 days. We had great service. The room was nice and the location is prime for San Diego. It's right next to the bay and a block from the ocean. This hotel has great service and the hotel rooms are nice. Every night there are fireworks over mission bay so I would recommend a bay view. It's great for family's or a romantic trip. They have a spa and a fitness facility if you want to work out. There are newer hotels that don't have the view or the ammenities that the Catamaran has. 5 Stars!!
