This is THE place to stay!

Although this is not a family-friendly hotel (which can easily be gathered if you look at the website) it is the BEST place in Big Bear if you're into a laid back, party type environment. The rooms are awesome and stocked with tons of stuff to keep you entertained. They provide a lot for free that is usually expensive elsewhere. I wouldn't suggest it for young kids and adults that aren't into the young adult scene.

Will never return to The Block

I have to say this was the WORSE property i have every stayed at. It looked good online but i have to share my personal experience. I rented out 4 rooms for this past Octoberfest and to celebrate my best friends birthday. When we got to the Hotel, none of our rooms had any Toilet Paper. I had to purchase my own TP from the local store because housekeeping didn't have any to provide. Also, all those free extras they offered for free like "Free Beer, Free Water, Popcorn, Cup of Noodles... they didn't have any to give out when i stayed. And if you wanted to buy a soda from the vending machine, of course the machine was not working. The beds were hard and the pillows were flat. I would compare this property to a Motel 6 but with a Big Screen. If your planning on staying here, I hope you have better luck then I did.

This is suppose to be a kid friendly hotel, it is not. The rooms are very dirty, they had filthy music playing. The pool was not avail at time of stay. They did not have many of the amentities they offer. No staff on premises to check out till 9am, come on. There was a large group of kids that partied till 3:30 am.......

Room was sufficient, big screen tv had lots of chanels, none of which had even decent reception. Colorful. Towels were right size for children under 10.

Staff was nice, rooms aren't that clean.(Grungy feel) If you're in your 20s without expectations of a nice hotel room you'll like it Kick back young partiers this is your place. Not meant for kids or professional adults. I used to live in Big Bear and know the area I can see what the owners trying to do with the snowboard theme but you really need to go elsewhere if you want comfort and your over 25. We arent squares by any means(we are in the entertainment and skateboard industries) we just know what we expect & this wasn't it! huge bean bag while comfy was a waste of space.
