Granted my first clue should have been the price, If this room was free I would not stay here. The room smelled of mildew and urine, The carpet was so horribly stained, I never took my shoes off, The bathroom had black mold all around the top, the ceiling and the door jam. The water has 2 settings, super hot and super cold, so good luck with that, The towels felt like sand paper. The bathroom floor had so much urine stains, it was hard to tell the real color of the floor, I have blonde hair and all over the bathroom there was long strands of black hair,on the walls, in the sink and in the tub, Speaking of the tub, there was 2 HUGE cracks in the tub and there was a hole in the bottom of it, like the rubber mat was going to protect me from my foot falling into it, I have never stayed in a hotel so gross in my life. Oh yeah - you are in Korea town, which is fine, but the front desk only understands English when they want to and it is convenient for them,

I booked this hotel for my boyfriend who needed a place to stay close to a conference in the Koreatown area. I checked several reviews to see which hotel nearest to the conference would be the best. After seeing some scary reviews, I selected this place because it had the least scary reviews. Some of the reviews talked about how bad the place was.
We stayed on the third floor. The rooms were fine. There were no scary incidents. I did notice a woodsy odor from the cabinets. They appeared to be unfinished cedar to keep the moths away. There is no pool, but there is a restaurant on site, and parking is only $5 for your whole stay. You could do far worse. My only complaint is that we had expected a free continental breakfast from the website, but when we arrived, we were told that there was no breakfast included. It didn't really matter since there was breakfast at the conference, but it would have been nice to make an informed choice at which hotels were best to stay.
Remember that you are in Koreatown. The hotel is near many Korean restaurants. If you like Korean food, there are many choices. If you don't even know what Korean food is, then you might want to consider staying somewhere else, since the restaurants are either Korean, Salvadoran, or Mexican in the area. That's pretty much the resident population. There are some corporate chains around, but why eat there when you can eat at one of the fabulous Korean restaurants here? Koreans from Korea have even remarked that the Korean food here can be better than the food in Korea.
The hotel is extremely close to the Red Line Metro Rail. Since the conference goers needed public transportation, all they needed to do was to walk two blocks to the Western/Wilshire stop and ride the Red Line to where they were going. It was quick and easy. Unfortunately, my boyfriend has a poor sense of direction. He went east instead of west from the Red Line stop. He couldn't find the hotel in the dark, even though the hotel was only two blocks away! If you see that you're walking toward Washington Mutual Bank, you're walking the wrong way. Head in the opposite direction. Good thing he had to struggle on his own for only half a day.

went to see a show at the wiltern (incredible venue). the ramada is not kept up well, sort of like a glorified motel 6. but, they have replaced furniture and the carpet. that leaves the bathroom and walls... the beauty of this place is being able to park your car, have a drink or whatever, go to great korean food and see a show all within a block. i wouldn't stay here again for any other reason then to see a show. and then, get the cheapest rate possible.
Not the worst.

Don't be fooled by the Ramada name--the hotel room was dingy and looked slightly frightening. The part of town was less than desirable, and we were afraid to venture out to get a tank of gas. There was only one person working behind the counter at a time, so it took us a long time to get the help we needed. However, it is not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I would not stay again for the $* I paid for the room.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. the airconditioner did not work but for few min. at a time the room smelled bad. there is no security to the building anyone can walk up the stairs from outside to the rooms. the elevater was outside and did not work one morning. The attendant at the desk the first night was rude. The area around the hotel is not a nice area. Could not wait to leave this hotel.
