Good Stay except for construction

The hotel is "de-theming" and removing just about all the egyptian decorations throughout the main parts of the hotel. And they are rebuilding many of the areas in the casino and main areas, which makes moving around the hotel and casino a chore at times. Every easy to get lost.

I was on assignment for my editor and was abl eto get what I was told was an upgrade , but the room lighting was terrible. I had work to do and packing and unpacking - all was a chore in the bad light. There was no bathrobe or comp morning coffee. The TV was old and the sleep button on its remote did not function. The room was spotless and I checked in at 9Pm and was able to get a late check out which I appreciated.

Would stay again

I decided to upgrade to a tower room, after reading the reviews of the pyramid rooms on travelocity. Room was very nice & clean, a little over priced, though. I really liked the fact that you had to use your room key to access the elevator. There was not a safe in the room, but was told they have free boxes in the lobby. Check in was fast, the tower rooms have their own check in area. would stay again..

I have always wanted to stay at Luxor because I loved the archecture here! Check in was pretty fast, we were situated in a room were the inclinator was pretty far so it made for very long walks down the hallways! The room was nice, a bit dark, but clean and enough towels and soap. The beds were not that great, kinda uncomfortable, but who comes to Las Vegas to sleep? I had a drainage issue with the shower but maintence came quickly and solved the problem pretty fast. The only problem I had was that they had closed off most of the swimming pool for rennovations, so there was a mass concentration of people in a little area of the pool, was not alot of fun. I would probably stay here again, just because the price was ok.

Our room was nice. During time spent in the casino, it was difficult to locate a waitress at any given time of day or night.
