Nice Room, Friendly Staff, Awful Lobby

After reading all the reviews I expected a lot worse. We arrived late after a long flight and they were out of non-smoking king rooms so we were upgraded to a remodeled non-smoking room with two queen beds. It was a high floor with an amazing view of the NY NY and the MGM hotels. The amenities in the room are limited to a bar of soap, shower gel, shampoo and lotion so if you use conditioner or a shower cap, bring your own. The room had a large flat screen tv and granite countertops but everything else looked like a failed attempt to make the room look "upgraded" with cheap materials. If you don't mind having to walk through a smoke filled lobby (heavy smoke that makes your eyes water) then this is a great deal for the price. I went inside We tried the all you can eat all day buffet and found it to be a great value. The food is much better than I expected and there is a lot of it. Great variety and very tasty. Checkout was very easy at one of the self checkout machines.

Bathroom is clean and has walk in shower. The room is spacious and includes a great view with a flat screen tv on the wall. Casino is fun with the strippers on the catwalk near the black jack tables :) Pools, there are 4, are nice and plenty of chairs. Very nice place to stay, I have stayed at Luxor and New York New York. Would recommend this hotel over them for the above reasons and the great buffet.

My husband and I go to Vegas every year - first time at Excalibur - loved the idea of adult only pool - the buffet was great value for the money - the tournament of Kings show and food was also a great value. The staff was very helpful and friendly The only problem was with the comfort of the beds, you could literally feel the springs in your back. Other than that we had a wonderful time

My husband and I stayed here back in March of 2006. It was a decent hotel. Obviously not comparable to the New York, New York, Venetian, or the likes but definately comparable for the cost. Room was clean and we had no problems.

Stayed 3 nights, and had a wonderful experience. We took an earlier flight to Vegas, and upon arrival, we were allowed to check in 3 hours early. All the staff members we encountered were helpful and courteous. We asked for a higher floor and had a wonderful view of the strip without paying the extra for it!!!! So much to do you really don't have to leave. Nice location for walking also. Will definitely stay again!!!
