LA QUINTA LA DINKA

The hotel was easy to find. Upon check-in the friendly clerk informed us that the hot tub wasn't hot, but that the water was warm. We explained we were upset with that, but since it was still going to be warm, we would try to enjoy it with our kids. After going to dinner and coming back to the hotel, we found the water to be cold. Both the pool and hot tub were less than 80 degrees. Our younger 2 wouldn't even go in the water b/c it was too cold. We chose this hotel b/c the online travel website reviews seemed very positive, but we were extremely disappointed. The shower screamed at us the whole time we used it. At one point the water went cold and several minutes later it became hot again. The decorations were totally 80's with our room having pink carpet. The bathroom was dirty. The next day our cable in our room went out. When I called the front desk to ask them about the cable they said to check all the connections. I checked them and everything was connected. In the mean time, I had to move to big stands with the TV and microwave/fridge and there was incredible amount of dust behind each of these things. Definitely gross. So on top of no pool, there was no cable for us to watch. $*** was ** more dollars than it was worth. Would not recommend anyone stay there. When I let the front desk know we would never return there again (we will be going back to that area next month) the only thing she offered was 20% off our NEXT stay. I was like, "Are you kidding me? Did you not just hear that I wouldn't ever stay here again?!" D-

Would stay again.

We were in town for a cousins wedding. Very accomodating hotel. Kids had fun in the pool. We would stay again.

Under staffed

One employee at location. WhenI approached the front desk to check in a 9 year old boy ran past me, slipped on a pool of water in the lobby and hit his head on the wood floor as he slid into a wall. I started toward him but was cut off bu three young girls running down the hall and through the wet floor who gathered around him. He got up but the employee never moved to get the water off the floor. Throughout our stay unsupervised children ran yelling in swim suits down the halls and up and down all three flights of stairs and hallways. I asked the employee when the pool closed and she said it was open 24 hours. I never saw an adult with the group of about 7 kids and in the morning there were cheese crackers scattered down the third floor hall. I do not care to stay again at a motel where there is neither security nor the will to control dangerous and disruptive behavior.

We stay in hotels 10 to 15 nights a year and this rates among the best. A little out of Spokane but great shopping Mall within half mile. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Spokane. Staff were Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

What a fantastic stay! It's been a while since I've stayed at a motel/hotel, but La Quinta Inn was more than I could have hoped for. Not only was the room excellent (very roomy, w/ micro & fridge!), but they offered hot cookies in the evening, and a free breakfast bar (including waffles and biscuits and gravy!). I will definitely stay here again!
