My Husband and I stayed May 6th-10th for our 15th wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful time at MGM Grand. The staff at the front desk were very polite and helpful and at the concierge as well. The Hotel was beautiful down on the main floor and casino area. The Craftsteak was a wonderful place to eat We were in the West wing which had not been remodeled but it was still nice. The rooms were very clean. Our bedding was nice and very comfortable, Lots of closet space, The shower was great with lots of hot water and pressure, we wished that there were a coffee pot and fridge in our room but you cant have everything. The air worked GREAT and we used that to keep our water cold. The rooms were quiet. The only things we didn't like was the bathroom is too open. If my husband would open the door to hall then somebody walking past would see right into bathroom area, or that you couldn't take a shower without waking the other person since there is no door to the bath area. The lighting was not good in the bath either. We would most definitely come back to this hotel to stay. We felt that the casinos at MGM Grand were much nicer and bigger than the other hotels that we walked through. It is a very big Hotel and you can plan on lots of walking and possibly getting lost. This was our first trip to Vegas and we are already wanting to go back.

The place is just too big. Too much walking. Rooms are Plain Jane. No Refig in room. Ice machine on our floor did not work. Food is over priced and not good.Pool area's were very nice, but not on the weekends. Too many people

Recently came back from Vegas after celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary there. The hotel was great, no complaints. Cleanliness was our most concern and we were not let down. Lots of walking though. Staff friendly and helpful. Air worked well, beds super comfortable, bathroom clean & big, enough room for two people to get ready at one time. Just wished the casino slots were more loose!!! Just wished we had been able to stay longer to enjoy more of their amenities.

Zero Customer Service & Unimpressive Room

I stayed at the MGM Grand for five days. In five days, not one MGM Grand employee said a word to me or acknowledged my existence unless I said something to them first. When they did respond, the answer was curt and showed no interest in my needs. There was no one to help me with my luggage, and when I asked directions to my room, the answer was less than helpful. I was made to feel like I was intruding. On at least a dozen occasions I made eye contact, smiled and nodded to an employee I was passing. They didn't even show the courtesy of acknowledging my existence. As to the room, I selected the MGM Grand because it was supposed to be a four star hotel. I have stayed in many four star hotels around the world, and I would not classify this room as anythign other than ordinary. Worse, the room appeared to be at the fartherst end of the complex (as far from the lobby as you could get) the corridor was not well lit (I felt uncomfortable Due to the lack of lighting) and both the corridor and room were devoid of any color or personality. With so many choices in that city, it is unlikely I would stay there again, or recommend it to anyone I knew.

We Were Happy With Our MGM Grand Stay

We stayed four nights over the Paquiao/Hatton fight weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed our entire time; the room was a little small (room 1-534), but very comfortable. The casino was a bit smokey, but that's to be expected. We bought the all-day buffet ticket at the Grand Buffet ($86 for two, including tax), and although we were pretty full by suppertime, it was still worth the price. Swimming pools very nice. Two food courts gave us lots of choices. A word of caution regarding gambling: love the free drinks in the casino (tip your waitress, though), but if you need cash, the ATMs all charge $4.99 to withdraw, and the cashier booths charge a lot more if you want to get a cash advance on your credit card. If possible, make a purchase at the Walgreens up the street and get cash back free. Lastly, this is the second-largest hotel in the world, so expect to do a lot of walking to and from casino, shops, food court, lobby, room, etc.
