Our stay at the MGM was good . . . the only problem was our room was pretty far - so I would definately agree wear tennis shoes because their is tons of walking - pool is far but it was nice - The one thing that I loved the most were the beds they are way comfy ! I hadn't slept that good in a long time ! It's nice to have these reveiws it helped me choose a nice stay for $60 a night I would stay again but get a closer room not on the 12th floor . . .but at least the nights were quiet. Good Luck !

Memorial Day Week- Had A Blast

Our third Memorial Day staying at the Grand, and once again was not disappointed. The place may be huge, but we always receive top-notch service. everyone makes it a point to speak, from the front desk, casino staff and housekeeping staff. We have tried other casinos but always end up feeling somewhat disappointed, and end up back at home at the Grand. The best cocktail service on the Strip that we found all week. Plus the casino was hopping our whole stay. We did not find this much activity at others that week. Great time, and we are already planning our next trip to the Grand.

Never again over Memorial Weekend

This is without a doubt the biggest hotel I have ever been in. I couldn't find the buffet until the day I left. Upon check-in I found I had been given a king size bed when two beds were needed. They couldn't accomadate me (hard to believe considering the size of this place), however they offered me a different room for $10 more per night, but still with a king size bed. Made no sense. The pools were packed, if you didn't get there early, you didn't get a seat, unless you wanted to pay $25 for them to reserve a seat for you. The drinking around all of the pools was ridiculous. Everyone was drunk, or well on their way. There were grown men diving into 3 feet of water, and no one around to stop them. The lifeguards were rarely seen. The rooms were nice, very clean, but slightly dated. NO COFFEEPOT in the room. I haven't seen that in years. I must say, I would never go to this hotel again. It was way to big for my liking. I much prefer quiet and a bit smaller. I think I lost 10 poiunds just walking to the pool. One more thing, they have a lazy river, but the drinkers wrecked that area for me anyway. If you drink and don't mind a long long walk this is the place for you

Great!

We stayed at the MGM for 3 nights (May 20-22). We found our room and bath to be very clean. The bed was comfortable. The monorail was very convienent to travel the strip. Keep in mind that the hotel and casino are huge, so wear comfortable shoes. Enjoyed the variety of places to eat. The pool area was nice but crowded. We would stay again - in fact we have already booked a return trip!

MGM is OK

Nice hotel but it is showing it's age (well my room was). Had a few issues - room was not cleaned one day, no idea why? Ice machine was out of service on my floor. Bathroom was clean but towel holder on wall near tub and the one near the sink fell off the wall. Tub drain was partially plugged. One thing really bugged me - It was over 100 degrees each day and A/C would not cool room below 74 (I like it cool in my room!). All not huge issues but little annoyances. Casino is lively, very busy and it was nice having a Monorail stop right there. Skip the buffet there - not worth the price. Overall, I thought it was OK but next time I am going back to NYNY. Had a much better experience there.
