Overall a good stay

We were in room 4013 and two queen beds. Overall we were satisfied with our choice. Our room was spacious (possibly received an upgrade) and clean. The room was SO quiet - we were very impressed. The location of the hotel mixed with the deal we received couldn't be beat. I will say, the room was not anything too special. It was very basic and felt like a room you would get with La Quinta, but it worked! Try a pretzel, they're yummy!

Friendly and Clean

We arrived early on a Satuday 4th of July weekend and ask if we could check our bags until 3 pm. In a matter of 5 minutes the Desk Clerk found 2 rooms on the same floor ready if we wanted. We had booked the cheapest Skyline rooms and was upgraded to Park Ave rooms for only $28 for the entire weekend (not per night). We were able to check in early and start enjoying our weekend without having to go back later. There are so many restaurants to choose from we were able to grab a bite to eat each from the cusine we wanted and eat together at the many bistro style tables available during the day and have fine dinning experience in the evening at a number of dinner resturants. I will definitely be back.

WORST EXPERIENCE

I would never recommend staying at New York New York to anyone! Front desk along with all the other employees were very UNfriendly did not treat you as a guest and did not care about your needs. The pool was EXTREMELY small and chairs on top of each other, we could not even get to the pool once while we stayed there and not ONE person who worked there said that we could use the Mirage pool till the day we were leaving! We upgraded our room and was def not worth it! The room was small and the safe in the room could barely fit anything in it, it was so small. The dining their wasnt great at all, did not have any breakfast food. The casino itself was very small and nothing great about it. The location of the hotel was at the beginning of the strip so you had to walk far just to get to the middle, I would recommend staying right in the middle of the strip. In our room you could hear what was going on in the next room and everytime someone in the hallway was entering their room the sound was so loud inside our room it sounded like they were opening our door. The bathroom was very small in our room, they did not give much towels at all we got 2 and there was a note basically saying use your towels carefully, they didnt want to give more out! I really cannot think of one good thing about this hotel ! New York New York was so not worth the money!

Great rooms for the money but no personality!

We spent five nights at the New York New York. The hotel is nice but the cleaning staff and pool waitresses were the only people that seemed to like their jobs. Everyone from the front desk to the bartenders acted like they would rather have a root canal than be at work. The staff had zero personalty and seemed angry at the world. They were uninformative and stagnant compared to other hotels (like the MGM). Our basic stay was good but we took our gambling, dining, and good times elsewhere quickly. What a waste of great potential!

Isabel, Hollywood Florida-June 20th -June 26, 2009 Had a great experience. Arrived at 11:30 AM and I requested early check in two days prior. They had the room ready, the room was fantastic, on the 28th Floor with view of the strip. I went with my 24 year old daughter and we had a great time. We would stay again. There is so much happening in this hotel and so much to do. Fun place to stay.
