The check-in went smoothly, even though it was late at night. There were great chocolate chip cookies on the counter (they disappeared too quickly). The room was clean and nicely set up with lots of towels. Breakfast the next morning was full blown with lots of choices. We would stay there again, for sure.

We arrived around 5 PM to find the Firehouse Hotel locked. The restaurant which is part of the hotel had a sign on the door as closed. A store nearby let us use their phone to call the number we had for the hotel. We were told to knock on the door of the restaurant to alert someone to register us. The room had no television, just a deck of cards. The stay was way over priced for what we received which was basically a bed. Avoid!

This is a great place to stay. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was really good. It is in a good location in Durango. Nice and quiet. My only complaint was the A/C in our room didn't work too well and it was over 90 degrees during our stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. There is not an exercise room in the hotel, but a pass to the local rec. center can be obtained at the front desk. The indoor pool was clean and quite large for a hotel pool. The only complaint would be the size of their breakfast area. It was crowded most of the time, but the staff did their best to accomodate everyone by opening up the meeting room when things were really full.

The beds at the Hampton Inn have a wonderful topper, that makes them so comfortable. We had a very relaxing stay.
